Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord!
Praise the Lord! Give thanks to God!
God has blessed us and brought us to this time.
God has blessed us and brought us to this place.
God has caused his name to dwell in our midst.
God has stirred our hearts and made us glad.
God has shown us his glory in his mighty word.
God has shown us the way of truth and life.
For 55 years, God has nurtured and fed us.
For 55 years, God has shown us his grace.
For 55 years, God has given himself in Word and Sacrament.
For 55 years, God has empowered us with his Holy Spirit.
For 55 years, God has made us witnesses in the world.
For 55 years, God has placed us in loving fellowship with one another.
Praise the Lord for 55 years! Praise God forevermore!
Praise the Lord for evermore! Oh, praise the name of the Lord!

ANTHEM BY The Chancel
Choir “We Have
Come This Far By
Faith”
We have come this far by faith gently carried in the arms of love
We have come this far with confidence our hope in God alone.
And though the road is long in His strength we carry on.
We have come this far by faith and faith will lead us home.
A simple child a tiny mustard seed can change the world and move the mountains
Calm the ranging sea. Blessed are the ones who trust in Christ the LORD
Those who believe in HIS promises, in HIS word, for great is their reward.
We have come this far by faith, gently carried in the arms of love.
We have come this far with confidence, our hope in God Alone.
And though the road is long in HIS strength we carry on,
We have come this far by faith and faith will lead us home.
We have come this far by faith and faith will lead us home

† LITANY OF THANKSGIVING AND HOPE (Please turn to pg18)
LITANY OF THANKSGIVING and HOPE
Pastor/People
God of our past, we gather today to give thanks for the
past.
We think back to those who first had a vision of a church in this place, to those who gave of their labor,
their treasure, their time to make it happen.
All: We remember the efforts of the founders and builders we offer words of thanks and praise.
God of growth, we remember too those who helped this church to grow in wisdom and in faith.
We think of study group leaders, clergy, deaconesses, choir directors, Sunday School teachers, and many others,
men and women who stepped forward to provide governance and leadership.
All: We are grateful for all these varied forms of leadership.
God of community, we remember events that brought us together; and for the gifts of friendship and fellowship we say thanks.
We think also of the many groups that have met in this place: groups that provided times of fellowship and times of growth in community.
God of creation, we give great thanks and praise for many days spent on this church as community of faith.
God of our present, we remember all that led this congregation to this day.
All: For 55 years of ministry to and with this community, for 55 years of growing together in love,
for all that has made us what we are now, we give you thanks, we give you praise.
God of our present and our future, as we gather here today we look for hope.
The future is uncertain, we wonder what it will bring. Fill us with a vision for what we could be.
All: Give us hope for our congregation and our community. Help us find the choices that lead to life in abundance.
God of hope, in a time of uncertainty we so often fall into fear and worry.
Show us the opportunities in our chaotic world, remind us to consider seriously where our priorities
and loyalties lie, push us to see how our choices matter, and then fill us with hope.
All: God of our future, may we walk boldly into what may come, as people, not only of faith, but of hope.
May we share your hope and promise with the world in which we live. Amen.
INVITATION TO OFFERING
Leader
Our offerings do not only respond to the needs of people. They initiate and nurture an outpouring of gratitude to God.
In the name of the One who lived God’s truth among us, we commit ourselves anew to bearing witness.
The Holy Spirit, whose winds restore our breath, sends us forth as life-givers. Celebrate this opportunity to give!
GIVING OF OUR TITHES AND ANNIVERSARY OFFERINGS
† DOXOLOGY
† OFFERTORY PRAYER (Unison)
Gift giving God, for 55 years we have gathered in this place to share what we are and have.
Help us to continue this sharing of our time, talent, and treasure.
May the gifts we give be gifts of Love. May they increase the power of Love in the co-creation of the world. Amen.
CONTEMPORARY SERVICE OF HOLY COMMUNION
INVITATION TO THE LORD’S TABLE
Pastor
Come to the Lord’s Table, all you who love him. Come to the Lord’s
Table, confess your sin. Come to the Lord’s Table, be at peace.
CONFESSION OF SIN
Pastor/PeopleWe have not believed you or trusted in your power.
Lord, help our unbelief.
We have stained our souls by our action and inaction.
Cleanse us, Lord.
We are broken by disease, bruised by the sins of others, weakened and unable to repair ourselves.
Heal us, Lord.
We ignore your call to center our lives in you, and so are deaf to the hopes and cries of the poor, the sick, the needy, and the earth.
Ground us, Lord!
When we confess our sinful ways, God abundantly pardons. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we are all forgiven, Glory to God!
By one Spirit we are all baptized into one body.
Let us then pursue the things that make for peace and build up our common life.
The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be always with you!
And also with you. (Signs of peace may be offered and exchanged.)
THANKSGIVING AND COMMUNION
Pastor/People
The Lord be with you. And also with you.
Lift up your hearts. We lift them to you, Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to praise you, Lord.
It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Holy Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
From the rising of the sun to its setting your name is praised among all peoples.
Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with your people on earth and
all the company of heaven who for ever sing this hymn to the glory of your name:
All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
You are holy, Almighty One! Blessed are you, Jesus Christ! In the power of the Spirit you created all things,
blessed them, and called them good. You called to yourself a people to make your mercy and truth known in all the world.
We betrayed your calling; You were faithful. We wandered from the way; You called us to return, and led us home.
And still we turned from your ways, abused your creatures, and made ourselves slaves to sin and death.
At the right time you came and dwelt among us, as one of us, bringing good news to the poor, healing the sick,
raising the dead, sharing table with the unrighteous, and teaching the way that leads to life.
By your incarnation, life, suffering, execution and resurrection You gave birth to your church,
delivered us from slavery and made a new covenant with us by water and the Spirit.
On the night of your betrayal, Lord Jesus, you took bread, blessed it, broke it, gave it to your disciples and said,
All: "This is my body which is given for you. Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
You did the same with the cup after the supper, saying,
All: "This cup that is poured out is the new covenant in my blood.”
Blessed Trinity, in remembrance of all you have done to save us, we offer ourselves to you in praise and
thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us,
as we proclaim the mystery of our faith:
All: Christ has come among us, Christ had died. Christ has risen. Christ abides with us. Christ will come again.
Pour out your Spirit on us. Pour out your Spirit on us.
Pour out your Spirit on these gifts. Pour out your Spirit these gifts.
Make these gifts the body and blood of Christ.
Make us, through them, Christ’s body alive in the world. Amen.
THE BREAKING OF BREAD AND OFFERING OF CUP GIVING THE BREAD AND CUP
“Isang Pagkain, Isang Katawan, Isang Bayan; I am the Bread of Life”
† PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION (In Unison)
Most gracious God, source of all blessing, we give you thanks
for inviting us to share this meal as your family. Strengthen us to be a
blessing to one another and to all people, glorifying you in everything
we do and say, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
SONG OF THANKSGIVING AND COMMITMENT
"Great Is Thy Faithfulness”UMH#140
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father; there is no shadow of turning with thee;
Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; as thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.
Refrain:Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
Refrain:Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

We go back out into the world to love and serve the world around us,
Just as we have done for 55 years, so we continue to do so.
We go out held in the loving arms of God who creates, redeems, supports, and sustains us.
We are not alone! Thanks be to God. Amen.
