BENEDICTION

Will Your Anchor Hold1. Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?

When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,Will your anchor drift or firm remain?

We have an anchor that keeps the soul

Steadfast and sure while the billows roll,Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,

Grounded firm and deep in the Saviour’s love.

2. Will your anchor hold in the straits of fear?When the breakers roar and the reef is near?

While the surges rave and the wild winds blow,Shall the angry waves then your bark o’erflow?

3. Will your anchor hold in the floods of death,When the waters cold chill your latest breath?

On the rising tide you can never fail,While your anchor holds within the veil.

4. Will your eyes behold through the morning lightThe city of gold and the harbour bright?Will you anchor safe by the heavenly shore,When life’s storms are past forevermore?. Priscilla Jane Owens, 1829-99 And Can it Be1. And can be that I should gainAn interest in my Savior's blood?Died for me, who caused his pain?For me, who him to death pursued?Amazing love! how can it beThat thou my God should die for me

Sentences

Hymn.....................................................................................................................................................O Worship The King

1. O worship the King, all glorious above,O gratefully sing His power and His love;

Our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days,Pavilioned in splendor, and girded with praise.

2. O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,

Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space,His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form,

And dark is His path on the wings of the storm.

3. The earth with its store of wonders untold,Almighty, Thy power hath founded of old;Established it fast by a changeless decree,

And round it hath cast, like a mantle, the sea.

4. Thy bountiful care, what tongue can recite?It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;

It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.

5. Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail;

Thy mercies how tender, how firm to the end,Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.

6. O measureless might! Ineffable love!

While angels delight to worship Thee above,The humbler creation, though feeble their lays,With true adoration shall all sing Thy praise.

I lift up my eyes to the hills - from where will my help come?My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.

2. 'Tis mystery all! the Immortal dies!Who can explore his strange design?In vain the firstborn seraph triesTo sound the depths of love divine.'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;Let angel minds inquire no more. 3. He left his Father's throne above -So free, so infinite his grace –Emptied himself of all but love,And bled for Adam's helpless race.'Tis mercy all, immense and free,For O my God, it found out me! 4. Long my imprisoned spirit lay,Fast bound in sin and nature's night;Thine eye diffused a quickening ray -I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;My chains fell off, my heart was free,I rose, went forth and followed thee 5. No condemnation now I dread,Jesus, and all in Him, is mineAlive in Him, my living HeadAnd clothed with righteousness divine,Bold I approach the eternal throne,And claim the crown, through Christ, my own. 1. My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine;For Thee all the follies of sin I resign.

My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

2. I love Thee because Thou has first loved me,And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree.

I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow;If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

3. I’ll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death,

And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath;And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow,

If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

4. In mansions of glory and endless delight,I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;

I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow;If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

Hymn.....................................................................................................................................Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross

1. Jesus, keep me near the cross,There a precious fountain

Free to all, a healing streamFlows from Calvary’s mountain.

In the cross, in the cross,

Be my glory ever;Till my raptured soul shall find

Rest beyond the river.

2. Near the cross, a trembling soul,Love and mercy found me;

There the bright and morning starSheds its beams around me.

3. Near the cross! O Lamb of God,

Bring its scenes before me;Help me walk from day to day,

With its shadows o’er me.

4. Near the cross I’ll watch and waitHoping, trusting ever,

Till I reach the golden strand,Just beyond the river.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again, He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy, catholic, Church, the communion of

saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.

Hymn...................................................................................................................................Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory

1. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored:

He has loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword:His truth is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

2. He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;He is sifting out the hearts of all before his judgement seat;

O be swift my soul to answer Him; be jubilant my feet!Our God is marching on

3. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,

With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me;As he died to make us holy let us live to make all free,

A ROSE to RememberA symbol of affection remembering a ROSE,

a flower so rare,Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin,

and friend so dear.Queen of the garden, a beauty for the household!A ROSE, a flower and a woman to behold!

Sharing and caring an infusion of cheerful spirit,More valuable than gold, far exceeding its merit.Getting things done with a prompt or a smileMagnetized anyone staying in her presence

for a long, long while.

One wonders why suffering affects God’s creation.No need to ponder what’s beyond our imagination.

Battered and bruised by the elements of time,God sent His angel comfort with a chime.

With thorns too gentle to ward off physical forces,She quietly amoured herself with spiritual resources.

She scattered her petals and bid us farewell,How soon will we meet again she could not tell.

A ROSE so rare and beauty to remember Bid us all farewell in this month of December.

Tenderly and softly she went off in peaceWithin the bosom of our Lord she fell asleep.

Beloved, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousinand friend so dear

We cherish the memories of a ROSE so rare and so dear.

Proverbs 31:10-25King James Version (KJV)

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that

he shall have no need of spoil.12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle

goeth not out by night.19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her

hands to the needy.21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household

are clothed with scarlet.22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing

is silk and purple.23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among

the elders of the land.24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and

delivereth girdles unto the merchant.25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall

rejoice in time to come.

At the Grave s id e

I am so Glad

1. I am so glad that our Father in heavenTells of His love in the Book He has given:

Wonderful things in the Bible I see;This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad, that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me

I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me.

2. Though I forsake Him and wander away,Still Jesus loves me wherever I stray,

Back to His dear loving arms do I flee,When I remember that Jesus loves me.

3. O if there’s only one song I can sing

When in His beauty I see the great King,This shall my song in eternity be,

O what a wonder that Jesus loves me.

4. If one should ask of me, “How can I tell?”Glory to Jesus, I know very well:

God’s Holy Spirit with mine doth agree,Constantly witnessing; Jesus loves me.
