It provides all important basic information about you
Your counselor must provide information about your GPA and sign it
Personal EssayThis information will be emailed to you:
Write an essay that describes the qualities that make you an excellent student and leader. Use this essay to give specific examples of how you have demonstrated excellent character and why you would be a valuable addition to Annandale Chapter of the National Honor Society.
An ideal essay should show off any aspects of yourself that the Faculty Council cannot grasp from looking at your resume.
Both your writing ability and the content of your essay will be considered.
Resume or Activity SheetThis information will be emailed to you:
Complete a resume or activity sheet. Your entire resume/activity sheet will be taken into consideration, but leadership and community service are the most important factors concerning your admission into NHS.
When filling out all parts of your resume be sure to give time frames (for example, if you are listing a service activity, state whether you did that activity once, or if you have done it every week for the last year, etc.)
The resume format found in the career center is preferred.
Please be as specific and detailed as possible.
Selection ProcessApplications are read by 6 teachers who form
the NHS Faculty Council.
While reading through all parts of applications, they are looking for individuals who demonstrate leadership and service through their words and actions.

If you are accepted, you will be inducted into the National Honor Society on November 30th.
