The ANMF (Vic Branch) Library offers a range of up-to-date resources for members to inform their clinical practice, study, and continuing professional development.

Print collectionThe library holds specialist collections relating to nursing and midwifery practice, education, history and working conditions. We have textbooks and clinical materials to support Diploma of Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery students. Loans are 14 days. Members are welcome to borrow up to six items at one time.

Electronic books and databasesMembers can access a curated collection of e-books through Ebook Central. Register via ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/anmfvic

Thousands of authoritative, peer-reviewed journals are available through Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) and ProQuest (Nursing and Allied Health) databases available online through the member menu on our website anmfvic.asn.au/membersmenu.

Library resource guidesOur library staff have produced online library resource guides (libguides.anmf.org.au/anmfvic) to provide members with a starting point for finding resources in different areas of clinical practice and research, tips on searching databases, referencing and citing, and using digital tools to support your learning.

Access to other health librariesThe library is part of a large network of Australian health libraries, granting us access to holdings of hundreds of other information services. If you’ve found a great reference but can’t access the complete text, contact the library staff (anmfvic.asn.au/interlibraryloan) and we’ll attempt to get it for you through our contacts. There is no cost for this service.

Our skilled library staff are happy to assist you with discovering and evaluating information, and building your skills to achieve your professional development goals.

From database search strategies, to building your research skills, and keeping up-to-date with the latest learning tools, the ANMF library staff can assist members with their professional development needs.

A dynamic, comfortable and flexible space to study, learn and build your knowledge.The Library and Student Hub offers state-of-the-art teaching facilities and flexible and inspiring spaces to research, study and learn.

You’ll have access to bike storage.

Study spaces and meeting roomsSpaces are available for individual and group work as well as several private meeting rooms. Eligible users can connect to the free Wi-Fi, attach their own device to a wireless display, and recharge with multiple power and USB ports.

Computer labWe have 10 computers, with shortcuts to library subscribed resources. Printing, scanning and photocopying facilities are also available, and laptops and headphones can be loaned at the library service desk.
