TSAVO

The most brutal bear attack in Japan’s history tookplace in the remote village of Sankebetsu in 1915,

Most man-eaters are just bad memories, but Gustave, a massive Nile crocodilefrom Burundi, is still killing people to this day! Gustave, whose death count is

supposedly over 300 people, carries the countless scars from knives, spearsand bullet holes from hunters, but they’ve all failed to end his reign of terror!

GRUESOME GUSTAVE!

The great white shark got its fearsome reputation thanks to a series ofdeadly shark attacks along the coast of New Jersey in America in 1916 – a

time when most scientists thought sharks were harmless to humans! Four peoplewere killed and one seriously injured by the man-eater, who’d developed a taste for humanflesh. The event led to panic all across America and was the inspiration behind the movie, Jaws!

KOMODO DRAGONThe largest lizard on the planet, the komododragon is one of the closest descendants ofdinosaurs. Many people think they’re venomous

creatures, but instead they have lots of bacteria in theirsaliva that is so strong that, when they bite their prey, they will slowly die from the bacteria causing aninfection in their wound.

Our planet is crawling with lizardsof all different shapes and sizes…

CHUCKWALLAChuckwallas live inhot, dry climatesand protect

themselves from predatorsby hiding in rocky crevices. Then, they suck in lots ofoxygen to expand theirbody, making it muchharder for predators to pullthem out of their hidingplaces. This is why theyhave lots of loose skin, toallow them to swell up as adefence mechanism.

GILA MONSTER

FLYING GECKOGeckos have super sticky toesthat can cling to pretty muchany surface like Velcro so they

can scale the sides of tall trees andhigh buildings. To add to their amazingclimbing prowess, they can fly throughthe air by using their webbed feet, broad tail and flaps of skin to glidebetween trees. They can control theirfall with their flaps and can glide for upto 60 metres!
