Welcome to the photography sec-tion of my portfolio. The selection of images puts an emphasis on my editorial photography as I have free-lanced for many years as a fashion photographer, shooting new faces from different modelling agencies and producing spreads for online and print publications. However, despite the lacking presence in this selection, I also have a separate body of work
that consists of event, product and fine art photography. I am also the happy owner of a small photo studio located in my flat which is where all of these photographs were taken. For each photoshoot I construct and paint a MDF-board set seeing as I prefer the texture of a painted background in-stead of coloured paper.

graphic design & illustrationI love to draw, and have been fondly scribbling away since I was a child. It was only natural that my passion for illustration developed alongside my photography. I don't believe that choosing one single specialisation and sticking to it for the rest of one's life is for everyone. For me, it's equally important and gratifying to branch out into as many domains as possible. In the end, becoming a better illustrator helps me become a better photographer and vice versa.
I have both designed and illustrated T-shirts, websites, LP covers, magazines, posters, flyers, advertisements, brochures and calenders. I am also currently working on a short graphic novel titled Angry Hands Comic.

I created the illustrations that were featured on the covers, and was in charge of layouting the contents of the magazine.

I was commissioned by the GUSRC to illustrate the front cover and section subdividers of the 2012 issue of the Student Guide. The layout was created by Shaun Murphy.

Left: Here you can see the inner contents of the Student Guide. I self-imposed the theme of insects (as a nod to the cliched poor living conditions of students). Right: I was also commissioned to create a front cover for the student calender. The design was inspired by antique sundials.

In 2012 I launched a Glasgow-based, not-for-profit, hand-stapled zine in collaboration with PHOTOSOC.

ANGRY HANDS COMIC
Angry Hands Comic is a graphic novel that was started in 2013. The plot revolves around two hands from Glasgow, who don't really know they're hands but think they are something bigger and more complete (kind of like us, really). The only hand in this universe that sees himself and others as they truly are, is unfortunately at the present time a schizophrenic alcoholic.

ANIMATION & 3-D
In the beginning of 2013 I started to expand into 3D graphics and animation. I created a series of low-poly 3D models which I converted into paper templates and then folded together to form sculptures. I also
created a 2-minute long animation on the theme of "Biomemetics" (which can be seen on the next page).

ANIMATION:HOW MISSILES ARE BORN
How Missiles are Born is a 2-minute animation on the theme of Biomemetics. It demonstrates how nature inspires science.

TONGUE-TIED: A STOP-MOTION FILM
In 2011, I made a short, surrealist, stop-motion animation on the topics of high speed communica-tion, conformity and free speech on the internet.
It begins with a man who enters the room and sits down at his dining table. After a brief pause, he spits out his own tongue (he ex-presses his own opinion on the internet). He becomes unsure whether this was a good idea so he attempts
to retrieve it. But as it often is online: it’s too late. The tongue has already begun it’s journey around the world.

Hello! I have worked as a freelance designer, photographer and illustrator for over 7 years. I have created leaflets, posters, brochures, illustrations for newspapers and T-shirts, LP covers, websites for small businesses, designed a zine and was the layout editor for a mag-azine. I have photographed fashion spreads for modelling agencies and done product photography for ads, documented weddings, vernissages, and club nights. I have helped organise exhibitions and prepared their respective catalogues. Now I'm searching to join a team of creatives in order to collabo-ratively work on exciting new projects. If you like my work, send me a shout and we can meet up for a coffee!
