B hadron decays to open charm at B-factories
A.BożekIFJ Kraków
on behalf of the Belle Collaboration
The 7th International Conference on Hyperons, Charm And Beauty Hadrons, BEACH 2006, 2-8 July, Lancaster
B decays to open charm covers huge range of physics starting from determination of CKM matrix parameters eg. D(*)h0 for cos(2) , D*+D*- for sin), DK for 3/ semileptonic decays (Vcb) … All these were presented in different talks. However, many topics remain e.g. Charm spectroscopy (B remain a clean environment for finding new particles), B D X and B D X branching fractions and testing the QCD framework…
Subjective and not complete sample of results

Charmed strange mesons
• DsJ*(2317) and DsJ(2460) first
• observed by BABAR and CLEO in cc continuum events and by Belle in B-decay
• Both masses unexpectedly low: below DK and D*K threshold,
respectively• Only isospin-violating or electromagnetic decays
kinematically allowed narrow widths• Decay pattern and decay angular
distributions consistent with interpretation as P-wave cs mesons
with JP=0+ and JP=1+, respectively
