The Living Environment

Adventurous

About Me I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and I am the fifth child of ten in my family. I am an Eagle Scout, an avid runner, and a man rooted in

my faith. I have sought out adventure throughout my whole life. When I was little my parents could not take a picture without me in action. Today I seekadventure in the life I live. I run marathons and try to see how far I can push my body. In the future, I hope to design buildings that awe people. I want to portray my adventurousness through my architecture once I am a proud former student of the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University.

Black and White

Composition

In the Black and White Composition of space, I focused on making the positive and negative spaces “adventurous.” To do this I used two shapes- a circle and a diamond, both in a square.

Materials used:-Crecent Illustration Board-Rapidograph Mechanical Drawing Pens

THE CUBE

H

The Cube took the Black and White Composition and made it 3D. Once again I worked on making the positive and negative space “adventurous.” I worked to reflect light off of the front shapes into the back. I learned to work with layers such as the foreground, the middle ground, and the background.

Materials used: -Museum Board -Elmers Glue -Cardboard

The Cube

Interpretation

The Cube Interpretation, or Grayscale Composition, is where I really began to open my mind. I interpreted The Cube in an abstract way to convey the word “adventurous.” I able to take a 2D surface and portray a 3D image.

Materials Used:-Graphite PencilsStrathmore Bristol Paper

The Living Environment

In The Living Environment, I was required to follow several limitations,

yet still portray “adventurous.” I strived to make a house unlike any other and

one that would awe people. I really enjoyed this projct because I got to

portray “adventurous” through architecture.

Materials Used:-Carboard

-Chip Board-Skewers

-Elmers Glue
