The year is 2020, if you can believe it! I’m Elijah Landon, the center’s Male Client Advocate, and at the PCC we have the same ministry and the same mission in the new year! As this year begins, I would like to introduce you to a few young men and a couple seen at the Pregnancy Care Center.

-This young man grew up never really knowing his father. He has always wondered if he really has what it takes to be a man, much less a husband, a provider, or a father himself. -Another young man grew up in a drug house. His mom overdosed and died when he was little, while his dad kept selling drugs until he ended up in prison. This young man sits in front of me telling his sad story of abandonment. -Here is another young man, who saw his dad hitting his mom and oftentimes turned his violent hands towards his children. Now this young man is striving with all his might to never repeat the example he saw.

-And finally the young couple who continues to battle addiction. They slip back time and time again into a lifestyle that they hate, but somehow can’t seem to escape.

True life stories like these are repeated in our advocacy rooms on a regular basis. As our culture turns further and further from the God who so radically loves us, stories like these will increase in number. In fact, these sad stories are the same ones that you and I walk by every day at the grocery store, the gas pump or the doctor’s office. Shattered lives are desperate lives. These people need love, hope, life, and a better way.

At the PCC, we express the love, the hope and the life of Jesus. The Center exists to see the lives of babies saved, but our mission is bigger still. We long to see the lives of hurting people find love and hope they have been searching for. We long to see lives changed and restoration received so that not only another life is physically saved, but also that entire families and generations to follow can know the joy of life in Christ.

This message is spoken daily at the PCC with the help of partners like you who support this ministry. Together you and I are serving this community as the hands and feet of Jesus! Thank you for helping us continue this same ministry and mission by your prayer, volunteer aid and generosity as well as your financial support. To God be the glory...

Gail Johnson Soon after retirement I realized my need to volunteer. Participating

in PCC’s Baby Bottle Campaign inspired me to check into the

Pregnancy Care Center. I began volunteering and Renee, our

director, encouraged me to consider training to be a Client

Advocate. I decided to give it a try and the rest is history. Here I

am six years later!

I am thankful to be a part of such an awesome ministry. With God’s

guidance, we strive to be a blessing for our clients as well as for each

other. Many days I leave the Center thinking, “What a blessed day

this has been.”

My passion is family. My husband, Gordon, and I share four

beautiful children and eight grandchildren. Whenever possible we

go camping with our dog, Ruby. Ruby loves fishing as much as we

do. A life verse of mine is I John 4:16 (NKJV) and follows:

“And we have known and believed the love that God has

for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in

God, and God in him.”
