ANCS Staff Newsletter AUTUMN 2014 With the cooler months approaching, the days are beginning to get shorter and the evenings cooler, it’s Autumn—and often the time that we start seeing more people get sick with the flu. The single best way to protect yourself against the flu is to get vaccinat- ed each Autumn before the onset of peak Flu Season (June - August). This year, to encourage health and wellbeing during the cooler months, Amcal Revive Clinics are offering free Flu Vaccinations. The Vaccinations uses the body’s natural defense mechanism—the immune system—to build resistance from the flu. The vaccination contains inactive particles of the infective agent that are used to stimulate your body’s own immune response without actually causing you to catch the flu. Amcal Flu Vaccinations are administered by qualified and accred- ited Nurse Practitioners and you do not need a script by your GP.
