Welcome friends,What an exciting time to be a cattleman. Demand for Canadian beef is escalating, marketing of cattle, including the grass calves, is truly rewarding. The cow herd numbers are definately down across North America so there is potential for sustained markets.We welcome Carpenter Cattle Co. with their consignments. Our 11th annual bull sale offers a deep set of red and black genetics.

This past Decmber Donna and I dispersed our Limousin females. Last spring we held our most successful Anchor B bull sale with all bulls selling well, followed by a very brisk private treaty spring sale period. So why sell the Limo cows?

Our Bohrson Trucking business has become very busy, which we really appreciate. The fi ve (so far) grandchildren are growing up quickly and we want more time to enjoy them.

So we plan to run 100 commercial (mostly black baldies) and - oh yes - calve them in April and May.

The Anchor B program was a family affair and 5 years ago we purchased Aaron & Sherri’s Limo cows. Scott and Becky were married this past June and their work commitments keep them from active involvement in the herd. So, a lot of the Bohrson teamwork has fallen on the shoulders of Jay, Beverly and family. So Donna and I decided to make our move and allow Jay & Beverly to carry on Anchor B with their JBH tattoo with their 30 cow purebred Limo herd.

Donna and I love these Limo cattle and all the people we have worked with and the many families who have become our customers.

The “Boss” is one of the most dynamic herd sires that we have ever offered. Tibon sired and out of a 3 year old MTO dam that raised a full brother in last year’s sale that went to Leone Karwandy-Hagel that was a tremendous individual. The “Boss” has made many friends at Edmonton Farm Fair and Agribition (class winner at Agribition, and Legends of the Fall Limousin Champion bull). The thickest bull we have ever sold - muscle mass, huge topped, with masculinity. It doesn’t get much better than this. Anchor B and B Bar Cattle are retaining 100 straws of semen for in herd use.
