Letter from the DirectorIt has been a totally challenging start

to this new Financial Year with a lot of ambiguity and uncertainty of VUCA expe-rience. (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) In my last 32 years in the Industry, the past quarter was probably the most challenging. It makes us realize how important it is to maintain the equilibrium of our precious Nature. I hope everyone is safe and healthy. During the Lockdown, we at Anant Defence Systems were on our toes to keep all our people engaged in many new ways of learning and interacting through various virtual platforms. It was a good time to take a break from our regular work schedule and learn few new tricks to get ready for the ‘New Normal’ Way of life ahead of us, post the pandemic.

The re-opening of the Company amidst the lockdown with due permissions from the Government, was planned and imple-mented very well. We had a few virtual sessions before the actual re-opening with our employees to discuss how we should implement ‘COVID-19 SAFETY MANUAL’. We disinfected the entire premise and implemented all precautionary measures. Virtual Meetings, wearing masks and doing a ‘Namaste’ instead of a handshake is now a normal habit for all of us. In spite of all the hurdles, we adhered to the multiple safety measures and dispatched our May supplies to our customers during the quarter, thus reinforcing our commitment and passion towards our customers.

Being a proud partner of the Indian Armed Forces, we are more than excited for the

new policies and initiatives of our Gov-ernment to promote Indian companies and businesses. We stand tall and strong with our Government’s ‘ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT’ Vision and we will continue to do what it takes to make India self-reliant in defence equipment by supporting our OEMs and Tier 1 and 2 Defence suppliers.

We hope that all our customers, employ-ees, stakeholders, and their families are healthy, safe and prepared for the new way of life ahead.

Re-Start of Business Activities amidst COVID PandemicThe Lockdown was a diffi cult period for all of us as all businesses were shut, but it was a good time to get refreshed and rethink our way of working. During the lockdown, we at ‘Anant Defence Systems’ formed a panel of offi cers headed by Mr. Mahendra Salunkhe [M3-Projects] and Mr. Pranav Devkate [M3-Mktg], who were responsible for laying down rules and regulations to be followed after the restart of our business, for the safety and health of all our employees and their families.  We launched the ‘COVID-19 Safety Manual’ which mentions all the safety precautions implemented by the Company and has detailed processes and methods to be followed by all Employees for smooth re-start of the Company.The following are the key points mentioned in the detail in the Covid-19 Safety Manual’:• Preliminary Work to be done during Re-opening• Mandatory Routine Guidelines• Social Distancing Protocols• Functional Departmental Guidelines • Safe Travel Guidelines • Personal Health Care Guidelines for Friends and Family

The program was received full of enthusiasm. The highlight was the motivational interaction with our Managing Director, Chetan Dharia, who shared the vision to move forward in the year 2020-21.

This year we organized our AGM for the first time on a Virtual Platform. It was organized on May 2, 2020. The AGM opened to a welcome speech, followed by an informative session which concluded with interactive question-answers. The HR Manual for the year 2020-21 was launched. This garnered excellent views from all. The experiences shared by the members brought in more energy towards building up and continuing with such engagement programs, as well as CSR activities and many others

The Virtual Management Review Meeting (MRM)

On May 16, 2020, the Management Review Meeting (MRM) was held on a virtual platform. We would like to especially acknowledge the eff orts of Mr. Rajanikant Bhosale (M2-Planning) and Mr. Pranav Devkate (M3-Mktg) who planned in detail our new Order Execution Format through Projects.This new way of execution through projects will help us to execute all orders effi ciently and with more focus. Every department shared their vision and actionable for the fi nancial year which would help them increase their productivity and reach their departmental goals. The MRM was wrapped up by an encouraging speech by Mr. Chetan Dharia mentioning the opportunities of growth and progress we have amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

SIDM MSME Conclave 2020

‘Anant Defence Systems Pvt. Ltd. took part in the MSME Defence Conclave organized by The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM).Supported by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, this exhibition was held on a virtual platform and had many seminars, conferences, industry interactions, virtual B2B meetings. It was a great opportunity to showcase our Capability to the Defence Industry.
