Paid homage to Dada Asiimanandaji
A great agriculture scientist of Ananda Marga, Acharya Asiimananda Avadhuta and four Ananda Marga members were brutally killed by Communist Party (Marxist) goons at Chatka village on 2nd April 1990. To pay homage to the departed souls, 24 hours Akhanda Kiirttan was started on 1st April at 3pm and it ended on 2nd April at 3pm. This time we went every house and invited all villagers to remain present in Kiirttan. From every house the villagers helped by giving rice/money for mass feeding. There was a Kiirtana procession with a Photo of dada Ashimanandajii in this village. Acharya Narayanananda Avt, Acharya Mohananda Avt and other monks of Ananda Nagar remembered Acharya Asiimanandaji's great contribution in the field of agriculture at Ananda Nagar and his great sacrifice. More than 500 people were fed in the mass feeding.

Page 2 Sponsoring of poor village students
It is observed that due to poor economic conditions of the family, the guardians are compelled to stop the education of their sons /daughters and engage them to earn for family maintenance. It is also observed that the most of the families of the villages surrounding Ananda Nagar are very less educated which on average will be class V to VI.
Hence in the year 2011 we have started a project aiming at nil drop out from schools and minimum education of all the family surrounding the villages of Ananda Nagar should be at least Madhyamik (School final/class X) standard. We are at present running 28 Primary schools free of cost.
To materialize the above, we have started sponsoring to the selected poor students studying in our schools so that they can continue their study from class V to X. We are arranging at least one sponsor for one student for this.
The criteria for selecting poor students are:
1. Economically backward. 2. Educationally backward. 3. A member of so called backward class. 4. Students must need to study in Ananda Marga Schools.
Budget for one student per year is Rs. 6000/- (approx) for Books, Educational materials, Uniforms, Tuition fees, & Miscellaneous.
At present there are 79 students (65 boys and 14 girls) are getting benefits from this scheme.
The list of 79 students is given below:
