This research analyzed speech act which were expressed by Thor as the maincharacter in Thor movie. That movie showed a candidate of king who was banished byhis father because of his arrogant characteristic, so, there were many speech act whichrepresented real life. Considering there are problems in English language learningfocusing on speech act, so this study was conducted used pragmatics analysis. Thepurposes of this study were to classify speech act based on Searle’s theory and analyzespeech act which has relation between the form and the function of the sentence.
This research used descriptive qualitative method. The data which were used in thisresearch were the utterances that were performed by the main character in the moviescript in collaboration with the real movie. The data analysis used pragmatics approachwith theory by Searle. From the theory, there are 5 classifications of speech act,representative, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. There are 2 types ofspeech act which is discussed by Searle, direct and indirect.
Based on the analysis, the researcher found that from the 5 classifications only 4 ofthem which were expressed by the main character, representative, directive, commissive,and expressive. Representative and directive were expressed 56 times each of them.Commissive appeared 20 times and expressive appeared 29 times. All types of speech actwere expressed by the main character in the movie. Direct speech act were expressed 140times, and indirect speech act were expressed 11 times.

Penelitian ini meneliti tindak tutur yang diucapkan oleh Thor sebagai pemeran utamadalam film Thor. Film tersebut menggambarkan calon raja yang diasingkan oleh ayahnyakarena sifatnya yang arogan, sehingga banyak tindak tutur yang menggambarkankehidupan nyata. Mengingat masih adanya masalah dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggrismengenai tindak tutur, maka diadakan penelitian ini menggunakan analisis pragmatis.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan klasifikasi tindak tutur berdasarkan teoridari Searle dan menganalisis tindak tutur yang berkaitan dengan bentuk pengucapan dankaitannya dengan fungsi kalimat.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data-datayang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kalimat-kalimat yang diucapkan oleh tokohutama yang berasal dari naskah film yang dikolaborasikan dengan film aslinya. Datadianalisis menggunakan pendekatan pragmatis dengan teori dari Searle. Dalam teoriterdapat 5 klasifikasi dalam tindak tutur, representative, directive, commissive,expressive, dan declarative. Ada 2 tipe tindak tutur yang dijabarkan oleh Searle, yaitudirect dan indirect.
Berdasarkan analisis, penulis menemukan dari kelima klasifikasi hanya di ucapkan 4oleh tokoh utama, representative, directive, commissive, dan expressive. Representativedan directive masing-masing diucapkan sebanyak 56 kali. Commissive muncul 20 kali,dan expressive sebanyak 29 kali. Semua tipe tindak tutur diucapkan oleh tokoh utamadalam film. Direct tindak tutur diucapkan sebanyak 140 kali, dan indirect diucapkansebanyak 11 kali.
