PROJECT SUMMARY•Goal• The goal of this project is to research and evaluate the various

HVD environments and make a recommendation on a scalable implementation plan and the resources it would require.

•Scope• This project was asked to look at campus wide HVD solutions for

both lab/classroom environments and faculty/staff workstations.

Research PhaseResearch VDI Software, Server Hardware, End-Points, and Peer Institution HVD Deployments

Design & Build PhaseDesign and build the HVD environments, evaluation scripts, and monitoring procedures, and determine the

end-user participants

Evaluation PhaseRun through the evaluation scripts, monitor environment performance, receive end-user feedback

Analysis & Recommendation PhaseAnalyze the evaluation results, environment performance, and end-user feedback to create

recommendations for server hardware, HVD software, end-point devices, environment design, and implementation plan
