Thank you for the great lesson on Wednesday! The kids really loved the idea of the string web and were playing Food Web on the climber at recess. Carys was leading the play, as you can well imagine. And Zoe was yelling - I don't want to be phytoplankton! The lesson really sank home and lead to some great conversations about why we don't use straws and plastic shopping bags anymore. Can't wait for the 21st! Jennifer Bisset West Sechelt Elementary School.
"My students loved being at the Marine Education Centre. The animals are wonderful, mysterious and amazing, and every student was mesmerized by them. The staff are knowledgeable, flexible and were well prepared with a variety of interesting and topical activities that engaged the students in considering an ocean planet that needs their help." Simon Hocking - Davis Bay Nest Program Grades 5,6,7 (the Rookery)
