Scholar's Place is perfectly placed to enjoy the benefits of Gerrards Cross life. Within close proximity to the high street's amenities and the railway station, this elegant collection of homes also boasts secure underground car parking.

˂ St James Church
In a recent study by property consultants, CBRE, Gerrards Cross was voted London's most sought-after commuter town. As little as 23 minutes* from Marylebone Station, yet feeling a million miles away from the fast pace of London, it's easy to understand its popularity. Life here is genuinely a tale of two cities.
In Gerrards Cross, you can enjoy the bustling village centre, with an array of local independent shops along with well-known high street names, whilst being surrounded by green and open spaces. Gerrards Cross also offers a good selection of local schools, predominantly private, along with being within the catchment areas of popular grammar schools, such as Dr Challenor’s Grammar School and High School†. This family orientated town delivers all your essential needs and more.
At the opposite end of the spectrum – or to be more accurate, the train line – you have Marylebone. One of London's most fashionable districts, its streets are packed with designer boutiques, along with renowned restaurants including the celebrity enclave, the Chiltern Firehouse. It's also a great hub from which to explore the rest of the city for business or pleasure.

The main high street in Gerrards Cross, which is found on Packhorse Road, has all your day-to-day needs well covered. The traditional and well-established Fisher Butchers have been an integral part of Gerrards Cross for over 100 years, offering the finest selections and cuts of meat. While Jungs Bakery cater to all your artisanal baking and dining needs.
Alongside these establishments are a host of other stores, ranging from fashion and baking specialists to stationers and chocolatiers. There's also an Everyman cinema. More extensive retail therapy however, can be found at High Wycombe's Eden Centre and Uxbridge's Mall Pavilion. Or by hopping on the train to Marylebone.

The Bull Hotel ˅
Gastronomically speaking, Gerrards Cross has plenty to offer. As a taster there are the popular gastro-pubs, Apple Tree and The Three Oaks. Additionally, there are a number of restaurants in the village: Di Paolo and Luna Rossa, which both craft superb modern Italian cuisine, and Beeches restaurant in the Bull Hotel, which creates award-winning British and Mediterranean fare.
In terms of fitness, WAVE Spa and Wellness in the Crowne Plaza (formerly known as The Bellhouse Hotel), found just a short drive out of the centre of Gerrards Cross along the Oxford Road, has an array of gym facilities and spa treatments on offer. Gerrards Cross also boasts two lawn tennis clubs, which collectively have over 20 courts. Alternatively, more comprehensive fitness provisions for the whole family can be found at Nuffield Health in Stoke Poges (4.4 miles) and Stoke Park Country Club, Spa and Hotel (5.0 miles)*.

Bounded by Bulstrode Way, West Common and East Common, Gerrards Cross Common is a prime example of the greenery that abounds. With 32 acres of grassland and wooded areas, including two picturesque ponds and a playground, it's the heart of the village and loved by local runners, dog walkers and families.
Further outdoor spaces come in the form of Bulstrode Park, Bulstrode Camp and Oakend Wood. There are also numerous golf clubs in the local area. The 71 par Gerrards Cross Golf Club is one of the most popular, and with the River Misbourne gently flowing past its club house, arguably one of the most attractive in South Buckinghamshire. The prestigious Stoke Park Golf & Country Club in Stoke Poges and Buckinghamshire Golf Club in Denham are also both just a short drive away.

As well as the peace of village life and superb transport connections Gerrards Cross offers, one of its other key attractions is the quality of its schooling. There are an array of high quality options available. The biggest draw however is often cited to be the abundance of grammar schools in the wider area.
In terms of state provision, for boys' secondary grammars, Scholar's Place is in the catchment area† for Dr Challenor’s Grammar School, John Hampden Grammar School and The Royal Grammar School. While for girls, it's served by Beaconsfield High School and Dr Challenor’s High School. Finally, for the younger members of society there is Gerrards Cross C of E School. An array of independent schools, such as Thorpe House Preparatory School, St Mary's School and Gayhurst, are also at close quarters.
