An appeal to all Bhagavathas Sri Sri Swayam Prakasananda Saraswathi Swamigal, popularly known as Sri Sri Alangudi Periawal, was born on 25th October 1862 (the corresponding Tamil year being Dhundubi, Iaipasi 10th), the star being Visakam at Alangudi village in Nannilam Taluk. After learning Vedas, Puranas, Vyakarana and Meemamsa etc, it is known that He left the village at the age of about 18-19 years (1881-1882) and started touring the entire length and breadth of the Bharath Desh as an Avadutha, reciting the Holy verses, slogas from the Srimadh Bhagavadam and delivering lectures on the scripts and Puranas. He travelled throughout the country as an Avadutha for nearly ten years. After taking to Niyama Sanyasam around 1891-1892 upholding the Asharama Dharmam, wearing koubeenam carrying Dhandam and Kamandalam, wherever He visited, He was preaching the Srimadh Bhagvatham and Bhagvath traits. He had conducted 43 Vyasaa pujas. It is to be mentioned that He never set His feet on the native soil after He left the village.. He shed His mortal frame on 17th May, 1935 (Yuva, Vaikasi 4th, Visakam) on the Shukla Paksha Chathurthasi day. What is amazing to everyone is that He left for the heavenly abode while He was giving discourse on Sri Bhaktha Prahlatha Charithram coinciding with the Day of Sri Narasimha Jayanthi that befitted Him in the sense that Swamigal Himself was a Narasimha Upasakar. His Adhishtanam is situated in Mudikondan near Alangudi village. The Aradhana Utsavam of Sri Sri Alangudi periawal is being performed regularly with the blessings of Kanchi Sri Sri Mahaswamigal since 1935 and with the able guidance and direction of Sri Sri Krishnapremi Swamigal who is fondly known as Anna in all reverence, after the formation of the Trust in January 2000, Vikrama Tamil Year. We are proud to say that the Sabha has grown by leaps and bounds witnessing its astounding growth in the last 12 years. This stupendous achievement has become possible only due to the blessings of the Kanchi Sri Sri Mahaswamigal and sankalpam of the Paranoor Mahatma Sri Sri Krishanapremi Swamigal.

An appeal to all BhagavathasSri Sri Swayam Prakasananda Saraswathi Swamigal, popularly known as Sri Sri Alangudi

Periawal, was born on 25th October 1862 (the corresponding Tamil year being Dhundubi, Iaipasi 10th), the star being Visakam at Alangudi village in Nannilam Taluk.

Sri Alangudi Swamigal Aradhana Sabha Trust welcomes donations and contributions,Please get in touch with Mr. V. Dhandapani, Managing Trustee (+91 - 9840428442)

Bank Details :A/c Name : Sri Alangudi Swamigal Aradhana Sabha Trust, Bank : City Union Bank, Branch : Sannanallur, A/c No. : 016001000357814, IFS Code : CIUB0000016

It has also to be acknowledged that the unstinted cooperation and support extended by the Bhagavathas have much contributed to the growth of the Sabha within a short span of time.

The Adhishtanam has been renovated and a Pravachana Mandapam was constructed; and inaugurated on 1st February 2007. (Viya, Thai Pusam). It was dedicated as Guru Samarpanam by Sri Sri Anna at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Alangudi Periyaval. Srimadh Bhagavatha Moola parayanam (Sapthagam) is being conducted regularly by various Bhakthas. During the Samvatsara utsavam, ie Thai pusam function, about twenty four or more Bhagavathas chant individually for seven days.. We have conducted six Samvatsara utsavams and marching forward with many more activities successfully. The house where the Swamigal was born was bought and in compliance with the wishes of many devotees and Sri Sri Anna a Mandapam named (“SWAYAM PRAKASAM”) was raised and opened on 6th Feb 2012 (Kara, Thai Punarvasu) by Sri Sri Krishanapremi Swamigal. It is to be stated that with the great blessings of Kanchi Sri Sri Mahaswamigal, and Sri Sri Krishapremi Swamigal, the activities of the sabha are growing year after year and the Bhakthas have to be thanked for their unfailing patronage and support to keep the Sat Sangh activities going on uninterruptedly...

The Sabha need funds to conduct Nithya pujas, Aradhana, Jayanthi and to carry on other activities. Our efforts of Fund raising are made in keeping with the desire expressed by Sri Sri Mahaswamigal to Sri V. Dhandapani that the Aradhana of Sri Sri Alangudi Periawal to be conducted till the Universe lasts.., spreading the gospel of Sri Lord Krishna and initiate people into the Bhakthi movement. Hence the funds have to be collected to carry on the Aradhana from the Interest accrued from the Fixed deposit.

So it is desired that those above 18 years of age, both male and female, may come forward to strengthen the Sabha and place it on sound financial footing by contributing liberally. A minimum contribution of Rs.2000/- to the Corpus Fund. You are also requested to enroll your family members, friends and relatives.

Such of those Bakthas making contributions to the Sabha will have the pleasure of receiving the blessings of Kanchi Sri Sri Mahaswamigal, Sri Sri Alangudi Periawal, Sri Sri Krishnapremi Swamigal and Sriman Narayanan and Annai Sri Parasakthi.
