Martain's powers did hit "overnight" though, though his color change happened over months... The truth of Fluke's power- source comes from a late-night visit by alien scientists. That faiteful night aliens endowed Martin with strange energies giving him his powers. Generally such an "experiment" would be monitored for scientific revelation, but as it happens the aliens were drunk from a night out on the galaxy and have mostly forgotten about the "pranks" of that "Really super-dooper fun night on Uurrth"... 1st appearance"Huh…?
