The Phlebotomy Technician Program is a 240-hour course that is comprised of a 40-hour eLearning phase to start, coupled with a 100 hour classroom session blended with eLearning, followed by a minimum 100-hour clinical externship with 120 unaided collecons. Both day and evening classroom schedules are available. Students must be flexible with externship placement. The successful culminaon of your eLearning, classroom and clinical externship will result in a cerficate of compleon. As an opon, students desiring to become an ASCP Cerfied Phlebotomy Technician (PBT (ASCP)) can take the test offered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) at one of three Phoenix locaons. AMTI's Phlebotomy program is approved by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Educaon and is naonally approved by the Naonal Accreding Agency for the Clinical Laboratory Sciences. NAACLS is the premier internaonal agency for accreditaon and approval of educaon programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health care professions. AMTI is the only Arizona school to have achieved this. Course Tuion is $2,065.00. Tuion includes all textbooks, lab materials, CPR/FA and TB Test (by serum), uniform top, technology fee, clincal fee and supply fee. It does not include immunizaons, students will incur the cost of immunizaons if not up to date. Students, at the me of registraon, can pay the tuion in full, apply for a MACU educaonal loan, or ulize a 2, 3 or 6-payment approach in meeng the tuion requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age. Copy of High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent. Completed Health Declaraon that you can complete all essenal funcons & all required immunizaons. Current CPR at Health Care Provider level & First Aid. Students must read/sign Safety and Infecon Control Policy & Voluntary Assumpon of Risk, HIPPA Policy, Laboratory Rules and Externship Agreement. Students must be willing to submit to a drug test and/or criminal background check, if requested. The successful culmination of your eLearning, classroom and clinical externship will result in a certificate of completion. As an option, students desiring to become an ASCP Certified Phlebotomy Technician (PBT (ASCP)) can take the test offered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) at one of three Phoenix locations.

This is a blended program. The student will complete 40 hours of eLearning in AMTI’s eClassroom comprising Chapters 1-6, pass midterm and provide proof of immunizations and medical clearance certifying all essential functions can be performed as reviewed by a medical doctor, prior to classroom start date. Students must complete an assigned, unpaid externship meeting a minimum of 100-120 hours and 120 successful unaided collections at a CLIA approved laboratory.
