The Thermbond refractory advantage of using liquid-phosphate bonded refractory materials for equipment maintenance. The operating processes are described based on field experience with Thermbond® Refractories in combination with analysis from controlled lab tests. Thermbond refractory is a two-component liquid phosphate bonded refractory and has found wide acceptance in many industries and in particular, the aluminium, power, chemical, refining and petrochemical industry thanks to its unique features including: • Fast setting and rapid heat up that reduces downtime costs. • Tenacious bond to existing fired refractory that allows for repairs instead of full lining replacement. • High CO resistance that delivers longer service life. Use of liquid phosphate bonded refractory products generally results in substantial net savings to a plant through reduction of maintenance costs and improvements in
plant productivity.
The significant Thermbond concrete advantage over conventional high strength concrete is that Thermbond concrete forms a chemical bond and not a mechanical bond through a water + cement hydration reaction when being used to repair existing concrete. With Thermbond concrete and its chemical bond it will tenaciously bond to existing concrete and not de-laminate. Thermbond actually expands slightly as it sets to create a permanent repair, even when exposed to extreme physical abuse. Within 1 hour after casting Thermbond concrete, it is possible to drive heavy rubber tyre equipment over the repaired surface.

Fused cast refractories for reheating furnaces
The fused cast alpha-corundum blocks, KORVISIT-A has been a reputed
refractory and wear resistant lining of reheating furnaces. KORVISIT-A blocks are successfully used as skid rails as well as soaking zone bottom
of heavy duty pusher type
furnaces reheating ingots. KORVISIT-A is resistant to mechanical wear in
high temperature condition and can be used as supporting element or for lining exit chutes in up-to-date walking beam furnaces. For protection of
the traverse beam mechanism against thermal shock, proper quality
insulating and refractory masses can be used. As the material to be heated is moved solely on KORVISIT-A, the less dense and mechanically
not so durable monolithics are protected from wear. With the combination
of both types of materials it is possible to achieve long furnace campaigns and avoid regular repair of the monolithics.

SUPERIOR WATER CONDITIONER® - is mounted in-line and alters the natural
characteristics of hard water minerals, making it difficult for them to bond together and form a hard CALCITE scale. Instead, they remain in a suspended state throughout the heat transfer process and will flow on through the system. In some cases, they will settle to the lowest point in the system and can be easily removed by blow down or draining. Water-using equipment will operate with improved efficiency, and maintenance due to lime/scale becoming almost non-

FlueGard-225SQC is the latest development in the FlueGard product family.
The material has improved chemical and thermal resistance to the aggressive acids condensing in flue gas systems.
The major benefit is that it can be heated rapidly from room temperature to cure temperature, this saves time and money to the end user.
FlueGard-225SQC is ideally suited to coat filters with the process running
and then use the hot flue gas to cure the coating in place.
KilnGard-600SCW is a two component, nano-
ceramic material for high temperature corrosion protection on the inside of the kiln shell in cement plants. The flue gases found in cement or lime plants are extremely corrosive. Recently with the increase use of alternative fuels, the corrosion of the kiln shell under the refractory is becoming more severe. KilnGard-600SCW has demonstrated
outstanding performance on steel surfaces exposed to this unusually aggressive environment.
StackGard-255SQW is a new addition to our product technologies. This
material has been specifically designed to protect the inside of steel
chimneys.
The product can be cured at temperatures as low as 80ºC (176ºF), and up to
180ºC (356ºF), this wide range is suitable for large chimneys where there can
be a large temperature differential from bottom to top.
WearGard-225SG is a tough elastomeric material formulated with reactive
inorganic fillers, including several in nanometer particle size.
The material is applied with an airless spray gun in several layers to a total thickness up to 100 mils. The product is then cured at 140ºC to 180ºC for several hours.

cures at room temperature and can operate up to 160ºC.
It can be used in stacks, ducts and filters that operate below 160ºC and are exposed to acid condensation and severe internal corrosion.

We work with Hydrojet Systems that use high pressure water jets to demolish and remove concrete while not damaging the rebar. The method is mainly used to remove concrete from sensitive structures, such as dams, tunnels, turbine linings, bridges, parking decks, harbours and docks for repairs.
The effectiveness of this method is due to two main reasons:
• the direct impact of the water jet on the surface and • the porous nature of concrete - the high pressure water is
forced into the tiny cavities and cracks within the concrete mass, causing it to fracture and split
The variable parameters of the technique, water pressure, jet size and speed of application, make it possible to remove concrete in a very precise and controlled way.
Benefits:
• SAFETY - minimizes labour injuries as this method is automated;
• the remaining structure is not damaged; • minimizes the removal of sound concrete, while removing all
deteriorated concrete; • when all damaged concrete is removed, the surface of the
remaining sound concrete will be free of micro cracks and be rough and uneven to present a strong bond with the new concrete overlay;
• concrete can be removed from below the reinforcement bars that remain intact and will also be cleaned of corrosive chlorides and debris by the water jet;
• method is significantly faster compared to jackhammers; • method does not expose workers and structures to vibrations; • method does not create additional damage to adjacent
structures; • method eliminates dust clouds forming;

White Fused Alumina
The white fused alumina is in high demand in the global market. White
fused alumina are composed from quality chemical by reputed

Brown Fused Alumina
Brown Fused Alumina is produced by fusing Calcined Bauxite in a reducing

Silicon Carbide
Black Silicon Carbide
Black silicon carbide is produced in an electric resistance furnace by adding
Quartz and raw petroleum coke. SiC is extensively used in producing
Refractory Tiles and bricks, castables as well as trough and tap hole mass.
Fused Spinel
Fused spinel produced by Fusing calcined Alumina and Caustic calcined
Magnesite in controlled proportions. Fused spinels are used to produce
Bricks and Castables in areas where slag resistance is key.
Fused Mullite
Fused Mullite is produced by fusing Calcined Alumina and Silica sand in
controlled proportions to form the Mullite phase. Fused mullite bricks and
shapes are extensively used in Glass making and ceramic kiln
manufacturing.
Fused Zirconia Mullite
Fused Zirconia Mullite is produced by fusing Zircon sand and Calcined
Alumina in an arc furnace. Fused Zirconia Mullite are used for producing
Zirmull bricks and shapes which are used in the Glass Industry as well as
an additive in Continuous casting refractories.
Fused Alumina Bubble
Fused Alumina Bubble is produced by blowing the melt of Calcined Alumna
in a controlled atmosphere to produce hollow spheres. Due to its low

Fused Silica is used in refractories as an additive for continuous casting
refractories.
Boron Carbide
Boron carbide is a key ingredient for producing con cast refractories. It is a
multipurpose abrasive and lapping agent with chemical resistance and

Fused Alumina Zirconia Silica
Fused Alumina Zirconia Silica is produced by cleaning and crushing fused
electocast blocks. This material has nil porosity, high density and good
refractoriness. It is a cost effective raw material for use in Castables and
ZirconiabasedRefractoryproducts.
Calcined Alumina
We offer a wide range of Calcined alumina and Reactive alumina which are
key ingredients for castables as well as special alumina refractories. These
aluminas have usage in special ceramics as well.
White Tabular Alumina
White Tabular Alumina is produced by sintering high purity calcined
alumina in a special kiln, Due to its superior physical and thermal
properties, WTA is a ket ingredient in all alumina based Refractory Bricks
and castables.
Sintered Mullite And Spinel
