Chief Executive’s Message

After spending years with Amrutvahini, I feel

very privileged while writing this message as a

chief executive officer. This is a special time

in our Sanstha’s history as we publish our first

edition of newsletter. We began our journey

1983, and have spent the past decade

continuing to build our brand, which has now

become synonymous with our commitment to

helping our students share knowledge and create

innovation.Looking ahead, we are focused on

accelerating the execution of our growth strategy

while continuing to build on the strength of our

brand—in helping to share knowledge and create

innovation and in bringing positive change to the

communities in which we work and live. I am

incredibly excited about this journey and truly

believe that best is yet to come from institute.

Our goal for every student is to position them

for success. We aim to help our students become

strong, critical thinkers and to deliver high

quality instruct io n in reading, writing, and

mathematics. We also seek to enrich the learning

environment by ensuring that our students have

access to content learning in the areas of social

studies and science. In addition to this, we

work to develop the “whole child” through our

character education program. Our outcomes

for student behavior are clear: Be Safe, Be

Respectful, and Be Responsible.

Director’s Message

“Change with the Change otherwise change will change you” I feel honor to write the message for the first

newsletter of Amrutvahini MBA.I am

confident that this newsletter will provide

useful information to the readers.

We are continuously making a great contribution

and improvement in the field of Management

Education. It would be the endeavour of the

Newsletter to keep the students, parents and the

leaders of industry informed and create awareness

of the newly arising needs of the society and

different market forces. It will also help in

furtherance of industry-institute interaction with

college institute to search the talents and fulfil

their demands. In this Newsletter students will be

given separate space and it is expected that they

make good use of the space for airing their views

on issues of interest and suggesting ways of

improving Management Education. I appeal to all

those concerned with Management Education to

contribute to the Newsletter and through it for

conferment of quality Management Education. I

am confident that this Newsletter will contribute

immensely and I convey my best wishes to

Amrutvahini MBA, Sangamner for successful

launching of this Newsletter.

Induction Program

Mr.Siddharth Prabhakar (Trainer, Mumbai)

Guiding students on Induction Program

When new students enter an institution, they

come with diverse thoughts, backgrounds and

preparations. It is important to help them

adjust to the new environment and inculcate in

them the ethos of the institution with a sense

of larger purpose. Precious little is done by

most of the institutions, except for an

orientation program lasting a couple of days.

Its purpose is to make the students feel

comfortable in their new environment, open

them up, set a healthy daily routine, create

bonding in the batch as well as between

faculty and students, develop awareness,

sensitivity and understanding of the self,

people around them, society at large, and

nature. The time during the Induction Program

is also used to rectify some critical lacunas, for

example, English background, for those

students who have deficiency in it. The

following are the activities under the induction

program in which the student would be fully

engaged throughout the day for the entire

duration of the program.

Entrepreneurship development

Young Entreprenuer From Mumbai

Presenting his Success Story

Unemployment is one of the most important

problems confronting developing and

underdevelopment countries, EDP’s enable

prospective entrepreneurs in the setting up of

their own units, thus enabling them to get self-

employment. With the setting up of more and

more units by entrepreneurs, both on small and

large scale, numerous job opportunities are

created for the others.

Entrepreneur in this way get an opportunity to

lead an independent and honorable life and at

the same time they enable others in getting

gainful employment. Several schemes like

Nehru Rozgar Yojna, National Rural

Employment Programme (NREP), Integrated

Rural Development Programme (IRDP) etc.

have been initiated by the government, of India

in this direction. The thrust of all these schemes

is to eliminate poverty and generate gainful

employment opportunities for the unemployed.

Thus entrepreneur can play an effective role in

reducing the problem of unemployment.

The concept of an entrepreneur is refined when

principles and terms from a business,

managerial, and personal perspective are

considered. In almost all of the definitions of

entrepreneurship, there is agreement that we are

talking about a kind of behavior that includes:

.

To an economist, an entrepreneur is one who

brings resources, labour, materials, and other

assets into combinations that make their value

greater than before, and also one who

introduces changes, innovations, and a new

order. To one businessman, an entrepreneur

appears as a threat, an aggressive competitor,

whereas to another businessman the same

entrepreneur may be an ally, a source of

supply, a customer, or someone who creates

wealth for others, as well as finds better ways

to utilize resources, reduce waste, and produce

jobs

Faculty Development Program attended by our Faculty members

Today the profession of management teaching has

become quite challenging. Business schools teachers

are expected to be both effective teachers and

researchers. A teacher can “teach” all day long and

cover an extensive amount of material, but if students

haven’t learnt the material, the exercise is an

enormous waste of time and energy. Being an educator

is not just about sharing knowledge; it is about making

sure that learners truly integrate this knowledge and

derive learning out of it. Any teaching that does not

result in effective learning is useless. Therefore, to be

an effective teacher, one needs to be able to deliver

the domain knowledge using the most suitable

pedagogical tools. An effective teacher is also required

to remain at the frontiers of knowledge in his/her areas

of subject expertise and gain working knowledge of

other domains as management is essentially

interdisciplinary To increase the skills and to upgrade

our faculty member’s knowledge our institute has the

policy to depart the faculties for the faculty

development program all around India.

Association with Savitribai Phule Pune

University,Pune On 24th

-25th

January,2018.The

title of Seminar was” National seminar on

““Emerging Trends, Issues, Opportunities and

Challenges in Agriculture Marketing”.The seminar

discussed about the need of the hour to critically

examine the policy trade and performance of

agriculture commodities particularly under the

umbrella of market development policy. The

agriculture marketing is so critical, crucial and core

issues which has a potential to make a larger socio

economic impact not only on farmers life but also

on consumers life. Normally you hear or read the

news that agriculture is becoming economically

unviable, unsustainable and hence farmers are in

distress. On the other side rising prices of farm

produce is a worrisome question for the consumers.

At this crucial point, this seminar was an

opportunity to challenge the situations and come

out with the best solutions. The debates,

discussions and interactions during the seminar

helped in stretching the boundary of existing

knowledge in the field of Agriculture.
