ENGLISH
Minimum learning outcomes: At the end of the session, the student will be able to……………
Speaking aims
Speaking speed 23 words (minimum) per minute.
Talks about self using simple sentences in English (five to six sentences).
Able to recognize the given objects.
Able to narrate personal experience/stories read /heard in home or school.
Expresses likes/dislikes.
Able to look at the pictures and tell the story in his/her words.
Listening aims
Listens to English words and sentences used in class/school and responds in English.
Follows simple greetings and polite forms of expression in English
Follows different sounds of English language through repletion .e.g recites poems with
actions along teachers.
Listens to new words and points/indicate towards objects and persons.
Draws with interest after listening to input from teacher or elders.
Enjoys rhythms and poems.
Follows the story and is able to simple comprehensions of three to four lines in blank
form.
Reading Aims
Reads simple words/sentences with the help of pictures.
Differentiate between small and capital letters.
Follows main idea, details and the sequence of ideas and draws conclusion.
Understands through pictures reading.
Able to ask questions.
Writing Aims
Uses proper spacing between letters, words and sentences (one finger distance between
two words)
Take dictations of words.
Able to write about Self, Family, Pets ,Home etc.
Able to use words/phrases (linkers), such as ‘And’, ‘But’ Etc.
Able to use punctuation signs – coma (,), full stop (.), and question mark (?)
Vocabulary Building Aims
Observes nature and learn new words.

Action words - able to understand facial expressions : Body parts
Bad cough, yawning, Personal self, Snoring, Headache< Pull-Push, Crying, Yelling, Angry,
