    I t has been exp la ined to you in your l essons tha t youhave a psych ic body, o r a psychic self . T his psychic selfhas a ne rvous sys tem which i s known as the sympathe t i cnervous sys tem, and i t cor responds to the nervous sys temof yo ur physica l body. T his sym pa thet ic nervous sys temis responsive only to psychic impressions, to vibrat ionswhich are so sensi t ive as not to be direct ly impressionableon yo ur physica l, o r ord inary nervous sys tem . Th us , foran example, cer tain musical notes the vibrat ions and f re-quency of which are too h igh to regis ter on the human earand to impress the physical nervous system would affect

    the sym pathe ti c ne rvous sys tem. T here is a ha rmon ic re la-t ionship betw een these two nervous sys tems.
