The first installments of these remarkable dia-logues were introduced by the Imperator in oneof the special classes of the Supreme Lodge many

years ago, to a group of members being preparedfor Rosicrucian lectureship. By special permissionwe will publish the original installments so thatmembers of the Hierarchy Degree may have theadvantage of this unique presentation of rareknowledge and thereby add to their store of Arcane W isdom. Mem bers will discover informationin these dialogues which may be applied to an

swering those thousands of questions which ariseduring the course of study in all the Degrees.

It is important that one point of explanation be made. It is com prehens ible how th e pe rsonalityof each of the ancient and modem earth characters may communicate with each other while inthe Cosmic and how one may become attunedwith such personalities and hear   the conversa-

tions. Bu t, it may seem impossible to unde rstan dwhat the author means when he attributes thetitles of God   and Satan   to two of the voices inthese dialogues. M ay we say tha t whenever God speaks  in these dialogues, it is the voice of  Div ine  In sp iration  suddenly speaking through one of thecharacters; and when Satan  spea \s   it is the voiceof T he Tempter   urging his thoughts through the

voice of one of the characters. W ith this explana-tion in mind the dialogues become instructive andunderstandable.

The First Conclave

(Held in a silent section of the Cosmic on the

occasion of the unexpected meeting of two emi'nent characters of earthly history.)

Manetho: A s I live, art thou not he who wasMizraim, the Chaldaic King of Egypt in earthlytime? I sense thee in that pa rt, though thou ar tchanged in thought, indeed.

M izraim : I salute you, elder Brother, and Iconfess to the shade of that personality in my

self, but you are right that I am no more of thethought of him, for I have expressed on earthfou r characters since the cycle of Chion. I haveseen you often as we passed through yonderchamber, but I hesitated to speak for I foundyou in deep thought. A re you not he who wroteof the incidents of my land in history?

Manetho: Thou art he who was King and I 

am but an humble writer of history; the historian and Priest they called me, but I deserved not thenames. M y errors were too many and too great;I w rote not all fact. O ften did I allow my hatredto color my words, and my blindness to thatwhich I would not see did keep the Light out ofmy w ritten words. But I compensated, Brother,for since the days w'hereof you speak I have sub

fered the reputation of one who was called evil by those w ho hear not th e tru th from me nor dome justice to tell the truth.

Mizraim: I know such compensation too. Itwas in my cycle in Egypt that man built thetow er of Babel. In th at segment of my existencethe chief seat of earthly evolution of man was atthe junction of two rivers, called Eden or Edina

 by those who wro te histories , but I knew no th ingof Abraham. Th ere was, of course,  Ibraham formed by the words lb meaning the whole  and

Brahm, meaning the world in which we live.  A n dI was on earth with my people then until theestablishment of the God Apis which we believedto be the true God. H ow foolish we were!

Manetho:  N o t foolish, Bro th er, bu t truly mis-taken. It was my duty as Priest in Eg ypt to teachof the gods and the Lords, and I know, too, howmistaken we we re; but no t foolish. I knew wellthy belief and the beliefs of thy people, and Iwas ready to cry “fools” to those who would notaccept my God Osiris to whom we built themagnificent Temples—my God of the Sun, thegreat giver of Life! Ho w close w e w ere to truth ,

Broth er mine, and yet, blinded to the Light. But,who comes here, now, to our centre?  I sense asoul light approaching and I feel the auric selfexpanding. Let us salute in greeting!

(A hazy light expand s in all directions fromthe two characters and reaches toward a thirdhazy form tha t is moving toward them. Th e

three finally unite in one haze in the centre ofwhich are three Lights. Th e new L ight of thegroup now speaks:)

Saint Martin: Gree tings with in the Light. Ihave been indulging in meditation and contactedthe thoughts expressed by   each of you. It wastruly an interesting conversation and I found my

 sel f   in attunement with your auras and made

 bo ld to expan d to it . I was pleased to have youreach out to   me and accept me. M ay I introdu cemyself as the converging personality of LouisClau de de Saint M artin of the earth, the nationof France? I knew both of you from earth lyrecords but I know not your selves of this cycle.

Manetho: I salute you, Saint Martin, and re-

 joice in your pre para tion fo r convergence. Butsee, another Light approaches and is reciprocal.Let us expand and welcome another.

(The new Light is added to the others and thefour join in close association while the fourth

Light speaks:)

Wilson: I trust I have not intruded, but my

form was drawn by some strange attraction tothis  place   and before I could control my move-ment, I was being added to your misty  substance here and soothed by your radiations. I have heard

 ju st a part of your conve rsat ions and would liketo introduce myself as Benjamin S. Wilson, justfrom Chicago and I am a stranger here althoughsome things seem familiar. There is much I wouldlike to know, but rather than interrupt with myquestions I prefer to listen to your discussion.

Mizraim: It is no intrusion, I assure thee, forthou a rt welcome and agreeable. See, thy Lightfinds a place between the  fo ur   of Manetho andthe  seven  of Saint Martin while my  se lf,  as anine   finds harmony here at the other side of thee.W h at peace there is in this partnership of Lights!

It is truly a joy of the Cosmos. Th ou a rt strangein this realm, d id’st say? A nd from w hence camethy Light?

Wilson: Yes, I am somewhat strange here, forI came only yesterday into the Lightness of this

 place,   and I came from Chicago.

Saint Martin: My Brothers, I understand his

 perp lexity and his un becoming words . Bro therWilson, this is neither  place nor condition ,  bothof which terms were used to refer to the Cosmic.You must learn that both  place  and condition  areterms expressing a limited   form of expression.Both may change—must change—but here all ischangeless. A nd , to you, Brother Mizraim, Iwould explain that Chicago is the name now given

to a city on earth which was once the centre ofthat city of passing evolution known in the an-cient cycles as  Hyji ja .  You must know of this,

Brother Manetho, for some of your earth races journeyed on to Hyji ja to pre pare fo r th e comingof new Lights after convergence.

W ilson: I have heard you speak of convex

gence, just as I was preparing to adjust myself tothe attraction from this little  group . You saidyou were a converging personality of Saint M ar'tin. A re you not Saint M artin now?

Saint Martin:  N o, not now in the sense  thatyou use now.  In Cosmic sense I am Saint M artinnow, am Saint M artin in the past, and am SaintMartin in the future; but in your sense of time

 — earth time— I was  Saint Martin and am now  converging into another, which I will be later. Converging is the process of dissolving the urnimportant distinctions of character and closingthe book of memory on the important characteris'tics of a self’s earthly expression, preparatory totaking up a new residence in a new body on earthas a new character. Soon — in earthly time — I

shall expand my aura and a beam of it shall reachdown to earth. Th roug h that beam my Light willdescend and enter a new born body. M y Lightwill not be here, then, but I shall keep the con'tact w ith my beam ascending a t every opportun ityto Cosmos.

W ilson: I do not understand everything yousay, but I recall now that yesterday I moved

along a beam, upward, and finally found myselfto   be a  Lig ht like others I see   about me here.Shall I converge also?

M ane tho: N ot for a segment of your earthlytime, my Brother. Thou art too  yo ung, as BrotherMizraim reminded me a moment ago when youasked about you r sense of strangeness. You rcycle of earthly expression was short and it must

 be completed before conv ergence begins— 

Saint Martin: Unless—

Mizraim: Yes, unless the Logos has decreed.

W ilson : In wh at sense am I too young? I wasfifty'Seven years old just before this change came.That may be young, of course, but I never didexpect to live more than the average of about

sixty. N early all men pass away from life atsixty or possibly sixtythree.

Manetho: Hear? T ha t report has come to medirec t from earth in a recent contact. M an iscreating a new standard for his periods of ex- pressions an d is not striving to fulfill th e law.Brothers, this is sad indeed. By the Logos, manshould remain in his earthly expression a periodequal to one hundred and fortyfour years—earthyears. N ow tha t you are here in you r fiftyseventh year, you will probably remain as anAstral Light for eightyseven earth years before

converging, unless— 

Saint M art in: Yes, unless!

Mizraim: How is it that thou should say

 Astral   Light rather than Cosmic Light, BrotherManetho?

Manetho: I thought he might recognize that

word, and I sense he does.

W ilson: I certainly have heard the wordastral   many times and know that it pertainsto the sky and the heavens, but I am not sure

about the word Cosmic.

Manetho: And, what did you understand

about heaven and the sky?

W ilson: T ha t the sky was the great distantspace around the earth and above it the placeor condition, perhaps, called Heaven, the homeof God, and Angels or spirits. I never was con-vinced about God being in a place they called

Heaven, but I do believe that Heaven is the place— or condition , as some called it— which Iwill reach after I am adjusted in some way.

Sa int M artin : You still believe that?

Wilson: Yes, but in a modified form. I feel now that I am on my way to Heaven, but that Ishall not know when I am there for I shall have no consciousness.

M ane tho: A nd you still believe tha t you areto go to Heaven eventually?

Wilson: I sense by your question that I am notfit, not wo rthy. I must submit to yo ur betterunderstanding of my worthiness.

Mizraim: I  p ray thee, Bro thers, see ho w he

suffers, and be lenient. Even now has he com' pen sa ted fo r much suffer ing th a t he has caused.Let us envelop him with our love and permit hisconsciousness to become refined to the wisdom ofthe Cosmic. Come, Broth er W ilson, we will commune in silence and permit thy true  self   to ab-sorb from the universal mind the facts of real existence and to know that this is the Heaven

of thy earthly understanding, and that thou art worthy of it and shall be one with God in thyHeaven. Peace!
