AM IK i d s Ca ddo
AMIKids Caddo is a new program that
empowers Caddo Parish kids through
care and guidance to reach their potential
and, as a result, breaks the cycle of failure
and poverty.
Even kids with a troubled past have the potential to achieve a bright future.
AMIKids Caddo works every day to separate their troubled past from a bright fu-
ture.
AMIKids was established in 1969 by a juvenile court judge in Boca Raton, Florida.
Each of the AMIKids programs has a local board of trustees made up of local com-
munity leaders who help to make their program make a difference in the lives of
the youths they serve.
On Tuesday, we will hear from two of our own Rotarians who are on the Board of
Trustees of the local program—General Peyton Cole and Tom Arceneaux.

Mekkos Jones, a Shreveport native, is a graduate of Southwood High
School and received his business administration degree from LSU-
Shreveport. With over a decade of financial services background,
Mekkos is the president of Catalyst Capital, a recognized leader in
commercial finance providing capital to businesses and real estate in-
ventors nationally and internationally.
Mekkos serves on the City of Shreveport’s Economic Development
Council as an advisor for small and emerging businesses. He has de-
veloped partnerships with the City of Shreveport, America’s SBDC
Louisiana, Cohab and SCORE Louisiana.
He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Renell Jones.
Mekkos’ classification is Business Services, Lending and his sponsor
is Karen Johnson.
Born in Kazakhstan, Onega Ulanova graduated with her bache-
lor’s degree in standardization, metrology and certification. She
began her professional career as a quality manager for a major IT
company. When she moved to the United States, Onega found
herself having to build anew as she spent this time learning Eng-
lish and advancing her business knowledge. She soon graduated
with her masters in engineering and technology management on an
accelerated basis.
After graduation, Onega joined the American Petroleum Institute
as a lead auditor. She was the youngest female international lead
auditor. She co-founded the LA New Product Development Team
to combine her love for innovation, brand development and peo-
ple.
Onega is passionate about making the world around her a better
place to live and gives back through her volunteering time. Be-
cause she believes that children are the future, she is also passion-
ate about education and career growth for the youth. When she is
not volunteering or meeting with her clients, you can find her doing yoga, exploring a fun new destination
with husband Konstantin Dolgan or spending time with her doberman pincher.
Her classification is Business Development Services and her sponsor is Rodney Crews.
