GERM UV 0302/2M

T H E G E R M I C I D A L P O W E R O F U L T R A V I O L E TAmerican Ultraviolet Company has manufac-tured and installed ultraviolet systems worldwidesince 1960. Four locations provide convenientservice and shipping nationwide.

For more than 60 years, germicidal ultraviolethas been used safely in hospitals, clinics and lab-oratories. As HIV has increased the threat oftuberculosis and other infectious diseases, theapplicability of ultraviolet decontamination inother situations has also increased. A few ofthese applications include:

• Homeless shelters• Prisons and jails• Bottling plants• Methadone clinics• Pharmaceutical laboratories• Food manufacturing plants• Clean rooms• Bakeries• Dairy plants• Meat processing plants

American Ultraviolet systems decontaminateby concentrating their UV-C radiation—99.9 percent effective against airborne bacteria, viruses, fungi and mold spores—onupper room air. Ultraviolet radiation works farbetter than simply venting airborne organismsfrom rooms. Ventilation should be continued tokeep rooms comfortable and odor-free.

The most frequently used ultraviolet systemsare designed for upper room air irradiation. They

include the “TB” series wall-mountedunits, which are louvered to block down-ward radiation. These fixtures can beused continuously and should be shut offonly during maintenance, which involveschanging the lamps once a year andcleaning the reflective surface. AmericanUltraviolet also offers units for installa-tion in ventilation systems and door barri-ers to prevent movement of contaminantsfrom space to space.

Offering a full line of ultraviolet germicidalsystems, American Ultraviolet manufactures onlystate-of-the-art equipment and light sources. Weare dedicated to providing our customers with themost reliable ultraviolet products at a fair price.

For more information about the fixturesdescribed in this catalog and for a free booklet, Using Ultraviolet Radiation andVentilation to Control Tuberculosis, call American Ultraviolet Company today.
