Dear Industry Professional:
On behalf of the Delaware Valley Section of the American Society of
Highway Engineers, I am pleased to present to you the resume book
that has been prepared by the Temple University Student Chapter.
The resumes that are in this book are students who are members of
the chapter who are seeking either internships or full-time
positions in the civil engineering profession. Many of these
students have been an integral part of making this student
organization a success. As Student Chapters Committee Chair for the
Delaware Valley Section and a Committee Member for the National
Organization, I have seen the importance and benefits of getting
students involved in professional society activities before they
complete their studies and enter the profession. As you determine
your staffing needs for the coming year, I ask that you consider
the students listed in this resume book for a position with your
company. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me
at 484-821-0470 x2111 or by e-mail at
[email protected].
Sincerely,
John Caperilla, E.I.T. 2nd Vice President & Student Chapters

To Whom It May Concern,
The American Society of Highway Engineers, Temple University
Chapter, would like to present this Resume Book for your reference.
In this book you will find active members of our chapter and their
resumes. We have hosted many events, such as site tours, guest
speakers as well as been attending ASHE Delaware Valley Section
monthly dinner meetings.
This book has been created as a way for the active members to reach
out to professionals in the industry who can help us obtain
full-time jobs and internships. On the first page of the book you
will find a list of members and some information about each member.
Following this page, the resumes are organized in alphabetical
order by last name. Please feel free to distribute this to any of
your colleagues who may be interested in our students.
If you have any questions, or comments please feel free to contact
me at

Summary I am currently a civil engineering student at Temple
University. My classes have given me a good foundation for further
learning. I’ve spent most of my work experience working with Paul
Restall Construction Company Inc. I was a laborer on many job sites
under different PMs and superintendents. I helped on projects at
Boeing, Glaxo Smith Kline pharmaceutical, and Federal Reserve Bank
of Philadelphia. I worked under the head PM and estimator for PRC
and assisted in typical project managing duties. Next, I interned
at PennDOT in their pavement department. I surveyed different roads
and did tests on different materials to provide a detailed report
every day to help improve the Pennsylvania roadways. I worked on
the student staff for the Temple University Football Team for 3
years and I believe that has helped with working with others and
handling daily responsibilities. Most recently I interned with HSC
Builders in the Project Management Department. Assisting the PMs at
a Teva Pharmaceuticals Pilot Plant project. My responsibilities
included logistical planning, material procurement, quantifying
takeoffs, submittals, RFI process, and change orders. Also
attending onsite subcontractor and owner meetings as well as
jobsite walkthroughs and inspections.
Highlights

Accomplishments
Assisted under head project managers to operate large commercial
projects under budget with effective management of people and
materials. Have been on site to many different construction sites
and had experience under many types of supervisors, practicing good
communication between subcontractors and myself.
Worked under a Senior Civil Engineer for PennDOT learning how to
use the Roadway Management System to maintain inventory of the
roadway features, conditions, and characteristics.
