THE GEM
THEATEROriginally opened in 1912,
the historic Gem Theater is
the main performance venue
of the 18th & Vine HistoricDistrict. Behind its fully
restored facade and
trademark neon marquee is a
completely new 500-seat
theater as well as several
distinctive meeting rooms
and gathering areas.

A combination exhibit area
and working jazz club, The
Blue Room is one of the most
unique meeting spaces in
Kansas City. It contains
numerous exhibits with rare
artifacts detailing Kansas
Citys jazz legacy and also
serves as a performance
venue for the best in local
and national jazz four nights a
week.
