Hello Residents, I’m MeganMirza, Your New
Executive DirectorLet me tell you a little about myself. I
hold bachelor’s and master’sdegrees from Wayne StateUniversity, concentrating in
community organizing policy andadministration. I have more than 20
years experience in communityorganizing, social work, programdevelopment, management and
education.Previously, I was program director for
Kadima, a mental healthorganization, and a professor in the
humanities and social sciencesdepartment with Lawrence
Technological University. Mostrecently I was director of the Center
for Elder Abuse Prevention atJewish Senior Life.
Learning and teaching are mypassions. I enjoy football, baseball,
traveling, reading, art, music,movies, walking, yoga and laughingwith my 14 year old son who startshigh school at Cranbrook this fall.
Through my experiences, bothprofessional and personal, I have
learned much, but every day Irealize how much more there is tolearn. I look forward to sharing that
with all of you...

Meal Alternate RequestsPlease remember, meal substitution request forms for dinner and supper must
be completed and turned in by10 a.m. on the day the substitute meal
is desired.
Dry CleaningTo use the dry- cleaning service, bring your items to the front office. Barb visits
on Wednesdays for pickup and drop-off.

Patio: Located outside of the DiningRoom and is available throughout the
day. If you would like to enjoy yourmeal in this area, please let the
serving staff know and they will makeaccommodations.
Garden: Located in the southcourtyard with access through theMovie Theater Room. It’s a great
place to relax and see the beautifulflowers planted by other residents.
Front Entrance: Rocking chairs andbenches are available right out the
front doors.

Communion& RosaryJeanett visits
American House onetime per week to
provide communion.Also, Mary is here on
the 3rd Friday ofevery month to lead
Rosary.
