With financial support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the AMCA has developed a robust training and certification program available to all professionals in the mosquito and vector-control industry.

E-Modules

The e-modules cover basic mosquito biology, surveillance and control with an emphasis on Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. These modules serve as an on-site supplement and complement the onsite AMCA training hubs in four key areas to build capacity in the workforce:

MODULE 1: Mosquitoes and Disease: Aedes and Culex

MODULE 2: The What and Why of Aedes Species Ecology and Behavior

MODULE 3: The What and How of Aedes Surveillance

MODULE 4: The What and How of Aedes Control

E-Modules can be taken individually or complete all four to achieve a certificate of completion.

“Train the Trainer” Workshops on the Best Management Practices in Mosquito Control

The AMCA hosts Train the Trainer Certification workshops for the Integrated Mosquito Management Curriculum. These two-day certification events occur at various U.S. Regional Training Hubs. These workshops are conducted by Master Trainer Certified instructors. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive the AMCA Train the Trainer Certification. Interested? Click on the Resource Center/ Training & Certification tab to find available dates and locations.

A Local Planning ApproachUpon completion of the Train the Trainer workshop, bring your knowledge to the local level. Provide support to workshop participants, and plan for local program goals and needs with regard to public health and mosquito control.
