DCE’s Amazing Race is a fun opportunity forstudents to participate in a virtual global scavengerhunt & trivia challenges. Collect donations thisweekend to unlock the first clue on Monday! Photosubmissions and donations will help our Explorers filltheir chains with charms and earn prizes!

This year, 100% of the money raised for Durbin Creek Elementary will be put right backinto the school! All donations will help update & add technology, make schoolimprovements, expand teaching resources, and provide continued support for ourteachers & students. The Amazing Race is our only fundraising event this school year.

Part of the excitement that will happen over the next 2 weeks are the clues! The clues will be seen onthe morning school news, posted on the DCE PTO Facebook page, and emailed out to all families.Listen to the clue and then complete the challenge by posting a photo! Photo submissions will beposted in the comments of the designated post on Facebook or emailed to [email protected].
CLUE SCHEDULE:• Monday, October 12th – Clue #1 – photo submissions due Wednesday, October 14th @ 11:59pm• Wednesday, October 14th – Clue #2 – photo submission due Friday, October 16th @ 11:59pm• Monday, October 19th – Clue #3 – photo submissions due Wednesday, October 21st @ 11:59pm• Wednesday, October 21st – Clue #4 – photo submission due Friday, October 23rd @ 11:59pm
After each photo submission deadline, 3 winners who correctly participated will be randomly chosen!

Trivia clues & participation prizes
Additional prize pointsFor EVERY ADDITIONAL $100 worth of donations that are made in your student’s name (past thefirst $100 mark), your student will earn EXTRA prizes!! And the prizes get even more amazingas the donation totals grow!The top class in each grade level will receive a unique charm!
The student with the top overall donation total will receive a Razor Spark Ultra Kick Scooter!

Each time a donation is made in your student’s name, the donation is recorded and added to yourstudent’s total. When $20, $35, $50, $75, and $100 totals are reached, your student receives anothercharm to add to his or her chain! The charms will come home from school for brick & mortarstudents, or will be distributed at the end of the Amazing Race for distance learning students.
Students who collect donations will also be entered into a drawing for fun prizes!Students with a total of $20 will have 1 chance to win, $35 will have 2 chances, $50 will have 3, $75 will have 4, and $100 will have 5 chances to win!
Key tag & chain
School incentives
You can pick-up your student’s key tag and chain on Saturday, October 10th when you are at schoolphotos. Pick-up can also happen on Monday, October 12th outside the main office. Flyers and keytags will be placed in a plastic bin.
Distance learner pick-up
Be on the lookout for schoolwide incentives that will be earned as we hit mini donation goals!
