I have a B.A. in Graphic Design from Whitworth University and a B.A. in Marketing with a certificate in the Athletic and Outdoor Industry from Portland State University. My understanding of marketing and design led to a full-time role as the Creative Marketing Specialist for Hi-Tec Sports USA and Magnum Boots USA .
When Hi-Tec was acquired in 2017, I was hired by Eastman Footwear Group to continue working on Hi-Tec and Magnum as well as the other brands within their portfolio. I have a passion for the athletic and outdoor communities and serving those consumers with products that elevate their experience and improve their performance. I have been fortunate to work on a number of projects across a wide spectrum. Here is a look into the work that I have executed.

CADS
Editing CADs became a primary part of my role from 2018-2019.
Retailers often have MTO product, which take an in-season style, but are tweaked to fit color palettes they have success with or price point requirements. I would create various color-ups, which were presented to the buyer and if selected, would then be sampled and produced.
Another instance I would be required to work on CADs would be to create color-ups for Hi-Tec products being considered as in-line styles for the next season.

CATALOGS
Responsible for designing seasonal catalogs from top to bottom. This encompasses building the layout of product pages, placing accurate product copy, pricing, and style numbers for each product, as well as building out the covers, intro and closing pages and "hero" pages.
Following the sign off on digital copy, I then acquire quotes for printing, and work with the printers on delivery to our warehouse and sales team in time for GTM and the Outdoor Retailer tradeshows which kickoff each season.
I also produced the Key Account Presenters. These are amended catalogs for existing and perspective retail partners. They featured a tailored line and pricing specific to that customer.

LOOKBOOKs
Designed lookbooks to showcase key products from Hi-Tec’s seasonal collections. The lookbooks were both consumer facing and retail oriented. There were utilized in meetings with potential retailers, like Urban Outfitters, or during consumer facing tradeshows, like Desert & Denim. They provide a visual representation of the product as well as the brands essence with the clean design and emphasis on outdoor exploration.

Designed for a meeting with Urban Outfitters USA.Brief was to feature Hi-Tec and Magnum styles fit for the UO consumer.We showcased styles in our new heritage sneaker collection and celebrity features.

Desert & denim lookbook
Created for Desert & Denim, an outdoor tradeshow in Joshua Tree, California, this lookbook presents the 2017 collection to retailers and consumers attending the show. The Comfortable Anywhere mantra is the cornerstone behind Hi-Tec's design and innovations. Shows the viewer that Hi-Tec has a 40+ year history of creating hiking product that inspires adventure and is built to perform from the city streets to the mountain trail. The goal is to show more than the footwear alone, but to emphasize the lifestyle of this type of consumer. Hi-Tec revealed their partnership with SPLASH to the B2C market this year. A company who's initiative is to bring clean water to children living in urban poverty, Hi-Tec is communicating their involvement in donating $2 for every pair sold. Hi-Tec has built a growing community of explorers old and young who are inspired to live adventurously.

A part of my role at Hi-Tec is designing the creatives for tradeshows booths. Stayed with brand design guidelines and showcased both the product and lifestyle of our consumer.

AW19-SS20 OUTDOOR RETAILER BOOTH10 graphics were created for the AW19-SS20 Hi-Tec Booth. This includes the wall texture, hanging banners, tiles, outer walls, and main focal graphics. The imagery needed to work for multiple seasons, therefore the focus is on the lifestyle of our consumer, and is not product specific.

TRADE MATERIALS
I was responsible for designing the creatives for marketing initiatives, our retailers, and tradeshows. From tradeshows training guides, to printed displays shown in stores, I work on a multitude of projects that were within brand guidelines, showcasing the lifestyle of the Hi-Tec/Magnum consumer, featuring the available footwear, and communicating the key technologies and lifestyle that our consumers value.

Academy Endcaps
Designed a series of Endcaps Displays for Academy. Featuring Hi-Tec's men's hiking boots and calling out the key features within the upper. midsole and outsole that are most important to the consumer. Clear and concise messaging with Hi-Tec's Comfortable Anywhere tagline. Incorporates aerial view of a forest to bring dimension to the creative and convey the outdoor nature of the product.

This newest Amazon feature provides an elevated shopping experience to customers where Hi-Tec and Magnum can showcase their products through a brand centric experience. We can control the messaging and featured assets within the store, highlight new products and build tiered pages to create a website within the Amazon platform.
NAVIGATION /HEADER: Can change with the AW/SS seasonal imagery
SLIDER/CAROUSEL: Call out New Arrivals, Season-al Product and Hero Products

APP DESIGN
App design for a full GTM project while taking the A&O certificate at PSU.
REI WANDER is an all encompassing app aimed to help the consumer discover new hikes, track their route, share their experience with friends and earn rewards for getting outside.
I designed the App with Illustrator and then imported the creatives to InVision to make an interactive prototype for the entire class to follow along to during the final presentation.

Grew incremental revenue by $69k in 3 weeks.
Project tied to the launch of Hi-Tec's SS17 product collection.I designed web-based creatives based around our top 10 products as well as the lifestyle of the Hi-Tec/Cabela's consumer. Hi-Tec invested $15,000 in to the campaign for a 6 week run. Hi-Tec achieved a 10x lift of shoppers browsing activity. Average weekly revenue increased from $12,342 to $35,405, a 39% increase during the first three weeks of the campaign.

Created a series of emails templates for Kohl's around the launch of SS17 and AW17 product. Also, created a Magnum Work focused email.

Created for Hi-Tec's subscribers, I created an email to showcase Desert and Denim. Informed the reader as to what is was, why Hi-Tec was participating and launched out conversation about SPLASH and how Hi-Tec gives back.

PROCESS BOOK: LIGHTHOUSE TEA CO.
Showcases my design process, from sketch, to roughs, to the final product.
This project is a branding exercise for a fictional company, Lighthouse Tea Company, which was inspired from my time studying in Sunderland, England, a coastal city. .The brief was to write a project proposal and produce a logo, business card, stationary and packaging for the final deliverables.
Step one was to craft the project proposal. This gives the full scope of the company's objectives, target consumers, competitors, value propositions and strategy for long term success. The following pages pick up after the proposal was crafted and approved.

1. LOGO SKETCHES
The inspiration for the logo came from the lighthouse along Roker Beach in Sunderland, England. The triangle is representative of balance. The company's mission is to be a cornerstone in the customers daily life: work, social and solitary. Thus the three points of the triangle. The color palette is inspired by from the beautiful sunsets along the beach and evoke a feeling of energy, and joy. The target audience is 25-35, leading to a clean and modern design style.
The sketches that got the best feedback in group critiques were the ones with the circle within the triangle and the company name in straight text.

Transformed the sketches to vector logos. Then narrowed down the options to three. These options were then presented during class.The feedback I received was that the first logo was the most successful, easiest to read, and fit the modern, clean design of the company.

4. FINAL DELIVERABLES/PACKAGING
The template for the single tea bag forms into the shape of a triangle as well. Each color represents a different type of tea: black, roobios, herbal, oolong, and green. The wings on the sides of each triangle fold in and then are glued together to assemble the box. To keep the boxes clean the barcode and pricing was placed on the bottom of the box. The pricing was set at 50 pence based upon pricing in the UK for similar products. A pull tap was also created on the backs of the boxes to direct the customer to the easiest was to open the box.
