At first nothing changed. The door began to slowly open and light began to explode from the door. But no one was there on the outside.

He was all alone. Isolated from everyone else. Nobody would come to save him. Nobody would help him. He was all alone...not able to escape.

Thoughts on the shadows of your feelingsThoughts Are the Shadows of Your Feelings

The storm crashed all around. Waves exploding and destroying everything. small rain droplets begin to fall into the sea. Dissappearing into the darkness.

It was unknown what caused everything to be so violent. It seemed that it came out of nowhere. Nothng seemed to ever calm down. Chaos was everywhere.

The rocks thrashed around violently. Crushing everything in its path. Nobody could seem to escape, The shadaw of darkness.

Finally the light exploded in the sky. The rain began to die down. The waves began to calm. And everything became relaxed again.

Swirls go all around. Surrounding the land. Mixing together. They try to be enemies but they cannot change who they are. They create beauty and chaos. A border divides the two sides.

An explosion of color filled the sky. All that could be seen was orange and red. Nothing else could be seen for miles and miles. For days the sky stayed this way. Then, it began to rain. Small paint droplets fell from the sky. Filling the ground with color. Slowly. Changing. Everyting

Until nothing was the same. Everything remains changed. For all time......

During each blink project I realized that I always had a specific way of starting each piece. I would always design some sort of border first and then work on what was inside the border. I also used a lot of abstract shapes in each piece. Both of those styles and ways of creating the art pieces stayed the same through out every art project. For all of my art pieces, the visuals in them, informed a lot of my writing. Most of the time what I made in my art piece impacted what I wrote about. For example, in my Thought art piece I had pictures of soldiers. so, for my writing, I wrote a n action novel about a soldier in war. plus the mood that I portrayed in the visuals impacted the mood in my writing. For example in my Regret art piece my mood in it was dark and gloomy so for my writing I wrote a dark and gloomy story that related to my art piece I created. My favorite prompt was the Beautiful vs. The Sublime. I liked that prompt because it was a really interesting prompt for me and it really made me think about different things. I was able to have a lot more inspiration for my art and it made it fun to do. My favorite materials were the acrylic paint and canvas. I had never painted on a canvas before so that was something new and exciting to try. I had a really good time also trying new techniques painting so that made it interesting for me. Even though it was really dif-ficult for me to do I had a lot of fun experimenting and trying new things. Through out the whole project there were many risks i took. In the writ-ing I took the risk of writing different styles of writing. I wrote much more poetry which was something I had never done before. I also wrote more novel type stories which was new to me. For the art projects I tried a new abstract style of artwork which was different and hard for me. I tried to not think to hard about what I wanted to create. Instead I just let my mind go and draw or paint whatever came to it. A lot of my compositional arrangement is consistent in my artwork. I usually have some sort of border around it and another border in the middle. I always seemed to create a border within my art piece and have two different yet similar sides. For example both the Thought and the Regret pieces have a border around the outside of my piece. I never really had a lot of consistencies in my conceptual ap-proach I took to making the pieces. My mood would always change based on how I felt about the prompt we were doing. For example during the prompt, Regret, my thoughts were dark and gloomy and chaotic so that is why my piece seems a little more chaotic than my other ones. Overall I really enjoyed this unit. It allowed me to branch out and try new things without being afraid of taking risks and messing up.
