On January 28th the Organizational Develop-ment & Human Capital Committee met at Am-cham with twenty peo-ple in attendance. The topic for this meet-ing was “Procter & Gam-
ble’s experience in mov-ing its regional offices to Panama: Lessons learned”, presented by Wiston Uzcátegui from Procter & Gamble. Procter & Gamble is a multinational company
with consumers in more than 180 countries. In 2007 P&G decided to create a Regional Busi-ness Center in Panama, and Mr. Uzcátegui was designated to relocate P&G Latin America to Panama. In his presen-tation, he explained the challenges they faced in placing the regional cen-ter in Panama, one of them being the reloca-tion of 800 families from all around the world who will work in this Center. He also spoke about the organizational strate-gies, business practices, challenges and concerns that P&G has faced of moving the center in Panama.

Humor Time
I just had a dream about it
A young woman was taking an
afternoon nap. After she woke
up, she told her husband, "I
just dreamed that you gave
me a pearl necklace for Valen-
tine's day. What do you think
it means?"
"You'll know tonight." he said.
That evening, the man came
home with a small package
and gave it to his wife. De-
lighted, she opened it--only to
find a book entitled "The
meaning of dreams".
On February 2nd Am-Cham and Pangea Restaurant held a So-cial Networking eve-ning for AmCham Members.

around the world: Nai-robi (Kenya), Singa-pore, Havana (Cuba), Marrakesh (Morocco), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Bombay (now known as Mumbai, India).
During the event the members also cele-brated David Hunt’s birthday with a sur-prise cake prepared by the organizers.
