The MSC Alumni Association enables the College to promote a life-long relationship

between MSC and its graduates, and it enables us to promote a continuing fellowship

among the alumni themselves. Our purpose is to engage alumni and students in

programs, events and services. Our goals are to serve, support and to involve and

inform. If you would like to join the Alumni Association or would like more information,

Commemorative Bricks

The Commemorative brick program is an important part of the Alumni Association. Alum and friends can purchase an inscribed brick in their own names or to honor a loved one. Each commemorative brick costs $25.00 and has up to two lines, with a maximum of 14 characters per line – each space represents one character. The bricks will be inlaid in the sidewalk around the new student services building. If you are interested in purchasing a brick(s), please contact Karen Cantrell at (580) 371-2371 Ext. 101. Mark your calendars and be sure to join us as we honor our Hall of Fame inductees this year. The induction ceremony will be Saturday December 10, 2011, during a home basketball game. We will also be honoring long time Coach Gene

Robbins (1962-68) and Wayne Cobb (1969-78) for a court dedication in addition to a special recognition of Bill Rickner who played basketball here in 1948 (pictured in team photo next page).

Jerry attended Murray in 1959-60. He then went to East Central State College and graduated with a BS in Business Education. He entered the coaching profession and was part of three conference championships and was conference coach of the year. He finished his coaching career as the men’s varsity basketball coach at Guymon, Oklahoma. In 1970 Jerry and his wife Donna (also Murray alum) moved back to Tishomingo and purchased Texoma Oil Company, a wholesale gasoline distributorship that operates in two counties. Lawley has been awarded Forty Year Service recognition from Shell Oil Products US and Valero Marketing and Refining Inc. Texoma Oil Company now services outlets in sixteen counties. Jerry and Donna live on a ranch north of Tishomingo and have raised and raced horses for many years. In 1999 they won the award for Oklahoma’s Champion Horse Breeder. He is a member of the Appaloosa Racing Hall of Fame and was the Master of Ceremonies for the National Awards Banquet in Nashville in 1994 and in Las Vegas in 1995.
