TIME Magazine recently published an article with an infographic detailing the

projected ten most important work skills required for the workplace in the year

2020 — which alarmingly, is only a little over five years away. Five years might feel

a long way away for now, but in today’s fast-paced society, time flies.

A – GROUPS A new concept of networking events. The aim is to create a space for each of you to discuss issues of concern for you and meet people from the same field of work or study you might not already know. We plan to schedule meetings on regular base, dedicated to different topics with maximum 2 hours duration. Each event will have own speaker according to the topic discussed who will be followed by the discussion. The main goal of the event is to give you a space to share your experience and build new contacts.

SURPRISE We are preparing

one small surprise for Dare so stay tuned J

MEMBERSHIP The short term goal of the association is to increase network of active members who can help to each other. That is the reason why we plan to launch new initiatives like A – GROUPS, better content on conferences and new networking opportunities. Since January 2016 for people who want to be active members of the association there will be membership fee. The membership fee will be disscussed on DARE. It should cover all activities of the Association.

Can you briefly describe yourself? Hi I am Vaco! :D Ok, and something more about you and your background? I have been in AIESEC since 2002 till 2010 approximately, Mostly in marketing area, I never did matching (HAHA). I Was team leader, part of Career days team and National Trainers Team, LCP at Comenius University and then I was nothing and nobody :D so I left and I started with other alumni Alumni Association. What about your professional career? I have never been professional. Just kidding. I used to be an IT guy when I was on high school. Later on I somehow switched to be a business guy. I am helping people to start their own projects and their own businesses. Are you running any other businesses except Connect ? I have an IT company borned before Connect. I also have few small projects but it is too early to talk about them and will take too much time to be relevant to mention them. One of the goals of AIESEC is to create young entrepreneurs who can have impact on a society but for many young people it is a huge problem to start a business. What was your biggest obstacle and how did you manage it ? There are no obstacles, there are opportunities and challenges. Being and entrepreneur means face obstacles and issues every day. There is bung of steps you have to go through, and if you manage that, you won. If you cant go through the obstacles you maybe shouldn't’t run a business. Can you briefly describe Alumni Association ? I saw advantage of having a legal platform for interacting, finding an opportunities and

creating new projects. That is the vision we are still keeping. Do you have some short term goal for AAS? I have a lot of short term goals but this is better question for you two. My long term goal is to h a v e m o re t h a n t h o u s a n d m e m b e r s participating on cooperation life of alumni and sharing AIESEC values. That is a long term goal for next 5-6 years. What is the current situation of association? We have around 300 members, 700 people in mailing list and we, together with cool NST, are running alumni meetings. We are set up finally, we will get money from 2% of taxes. We have a basement to build on a huge network in our country. If there are some alumni who would like to join AAS and would like to help, what can they do? First step is to sign into a mailing list, to get sign into a Facebook group and to join us for some event, either National conference, Alumni Convenium or A-Groups. Now.. The question everybody is waiting for and everybody is talking about. We can see you lost a lot of on your weight. What is the reason behind it? Tell us your secret :D Your body, your soul and your mind has to be always in a good condition. If one part of these is not working all your life is losing a balance. Stable balance of life stay on 3 pillars. If you loose one and you don’t care about your body, soul or mind, it fall down. This is the secret you should have on your mind all the time.

MC Evolution AIESEC in Slovakia MC team for the term 15-16 is unique for many reasons. The ones that pup up the most are that we represent 7 nationalities, being the most diverse MC team Slovakia ever had and we are super eager to bring AIESEC in Slovakia to a new level by evolving all the processes we run. NPM and current status of LCs Before the term started we had a National Planning Meeting where together with the leadership body of the entity we agreed to move towards THE THING of AIESEC in Slovakia.

THE THING of AIESEC in Slovakia

We provide experience in an international environment by inspiring youth to make a positive change on Slovakia.

According to their current status, during NPM, LCs’ EBs decided what cluster from the following they belong to:   LC visits July was half dedicated to LC visits where together with EBs and TLs we defined their priorities in terms of exchange areas. The output of all the LC visits is a plan with activities that will help them to achieve their plans for the winter peak.   Central European Congress At CEC we tried to “Shape what we do around what Europe needs”. Together with delegation from Hungary, Czech Republic and Serbia we came up with projects that fit the reality of our countries and established to have some realizations together.   International Congress 2015 This year’s IC was especially important because it represents a milestone for the next 5 years of the organization. More than 800 young leaders, Slovak delegation including, determined AIESEC 2020 ambition. From now “We are a Youth Leadership movement that is shaping what we do around what the world needs; grows disruptively and is accessible to everyone everywhere.” Tomas, the current MCP of AIESEC in Slovakia, was part of the ambition 2020 core consolidation team which means that he, together with other 6 people, summed up all the inputs IC delegation gave for the creation of this vision.

The world of work (and the world in general) is changing. People are living longer, new technologies are emerging and we have never been more globally connected. That means the skills we use now in the workplace are not necessarily the skills we will need in the future. To get a sense of what skills you might want to start investing your time into developing, check out the info graphic .

The Skills of 2020 and Changing Leadership

AIESEC with other organizations also wanted to identify some of the top skills young people were wanting to develop today, and our YouthSpeak survey with 25,000 millennial respondents showed that leadership / team management, new languages, critical thinking and problem solving skills were still the most – in demand to help them get ahead over the next few year.

We  have  only  few  topics  being  discussed  nowadays  as  immigrants,  conflicts  in

Ukraine  or  financial  crisis  in  Spain,  Greece  and  so.  Because  of  this  we  decided  to

share  with  you  experience  of  some  interns  in  these  countries  and  their  personal

experience  with  that.

Ukraine,   a   country   discussed   recently  very  ohen  but  I  was  not  afraid  to  choose  exactly   this   country   as   a   place   for   my  internship.  Traveling  to  Kiev,  the  capital  city  of  Ukraine,  was  not  accidental.  I  had  been   in   Kiev   before   and   that   was   the  reason  me  choosing  this  place.    Kiev   is   really   beauTful.   This   city   offers  many   a>racTve   places   for   tourist   for  spending   their   free   Tme.   Historic  monuments,   churches,   beauTful   nature  are   worth   to   see   and   entrance   fee   is  really   friendly.   Ukrainians   are   very  patrioTc  ciTzens.  I  had  a  chance  to  be  a  part  of  the  celebraTon  of  Independence  Day.  I  can  not  describe  the  joy  and  pride  that   sparkle   in   their   faces  while   singing  naTonal  anthem.    On   the   other   hand,   I   was   surprised   by  the   inaccessibility   and   distance   they  held   from   foreigners.   It   was   rare   to  meet   somebody   who   speaks   English  even   Kiev   is   a   capital   city   with   many  foreign  people.  But  this  was  no  obstacle  and  they  were  always  keen  to  help.    The   quesTon   of   immigrants   is   recently  menTon   very   ohen  but   this   quesTon   is  not   important   for   Ukrainian.   Almost  everyone   wears   Ukrainian   symbol   of  freedom   as   a   sign   of   support   and  solidarity  thinking  about  the  conflicts  on  the  east  of  the  country.

Egypt   is   safe,  warm   ,  and  one  of   the  cheapest   countries   ..  EgypTan  people  are  very  welcoming  and  kind  to  tourists  .  If  you  are  afraid  about  if  the  country  is  not  stable  so  we  had  a  new  president   two  years   ago  and  no  more   revoluTon   this  days   -‐   it's  very  stable   this  days.  You  can  stay   in  places   like  hurhgada   ,   sharm  el   shiekh   ,   dahab   ,   ras   shitan   if   you   are  interested  in  places  near  the  sea  side  and  you  would  love  to  have   diving   ,   snorkeling   ,   and   swim   with   dolphins.   I   also  advice  you  not  to  stay  all   the  Tme  at  sea  side  and  see  the  other  side  of  Egypt  by  visiTng  Cairo  and  Alexandria  or  going  to   Luxor   and   Aswan.   Egypt   is   so   big   so   you   have   a   lot   of  opTons   and   if   you   are   planning   to   save  money   it's   be>er  rent  a  house.   It's  cheaper  than  staying   in  some  hotels  and  also   food   prices   are   very   cheap.   Some   places   are   on   the  desert  so  you  can  have  camps  and  sand  boarding  ,  so  a  lot  of   opTons   are   available   and   the   choice   is   yours.   If   you're  sTll   not   sure   about   how   safe   is   Egypt   now   you   can  watch  hashtags   #hurghada   #sharmelsheikh   on   instagram   or  Facebook  and  see  how  are  people  enjoying  their  Tme  .
