Alumni Day 2015

Institution is acknowledged by its Alumni. They are the brand ambassadors of an Institute. Their enviable success and growth endows their Alma-mater with great power and adds laurels to it. Alumni forum helps in reviving the carefree and joyous moments of the college days. In continuation with Global Alumni Meet, 2015, MNIT fraternity celebrated its Alumni Reunion- ALUMNI DAY, Silver Jubilee felicitation of 1990 pass-out batch and Golden Jubilee felicitation of 1965 entry Batch on Saturday, 26th December, 2015. The event aimed at bringing together the Alumni of all the batches of all courses on the same platform, thereby uniting the past with the present. Under the guidance of our respected Director Sir, Prof. I. K. Bhat, Prof. Dilip Sharma

(Dean Student Welfare, Alumni Affairs), Dr. Pawan Kalla (Coordinator, Alumni

Committee), Sh. Ashutosh Dixit (President, MNITJAA) and Sh. Shreekant Gupta

(General Secretary, MNITJAA) and other faculty members, the event culminated into

another successful alumni meet. Around 250 alumni along with their families, from

various parts of the country and abroad participated in the event.

The celebrations started with the welcoming of the guests with ‘tilak’ and garlands followed by registration with High Tea. Institute Identity Cards were also given to the alumni. For the kids and family members alike, various fun activities like Karaoke etc. were organized. Inaugural function took place at basketball court MNIT premises. Alumni Magazine “Alumni Times “based on theme Entrepreneurship was distributed to all the alumni. Institute visit, group photography, Photo exhibition Etc. were held.

Silver Jubilee Felicitation of 1990 Pass-Out Batch

In the morning around 11 am, Alumni day inauguration took place along with felicitation of Silver Jubilee batch at the Basketball court of the Institute. It included welcoming the alumni with Safa, welcome address by various dignitaries and also giving away mementos, as a small token of respect and appreciation to all the alumni. Silver Jubilee Felicitation was headed by 1990 Batch Coordinators Sh. Devraj Solanki, Sh. Prasanna Maheshwari and Sh. Surya Prakash Gupta. Student Coordinators for the event were Lalit Gyanani, Kunal Gupta and Bharat Vaswani.

Golden Jubilee Felicitation of 1965 Entry Batch

After Silver Jubilee Felicitation, lunch was organized at Aurobindo Hostel Mess to revive back that taste of food, which the alumni once experienced during their college days. Golden Jubilee Felicitation was organized for the 1965 entrance batch alumni in the evening. Around 50 alumni graced the occasion along with their families. Golden Jubilee Felicitation was headed by 1965 Batch Coordinators Sh. Alok Mathur and Sh. A. K. Srivastava. Student Coordinators for the event were Rupesh Nayak and Prashant Thakur

The beautiful day saw the dawn with mesmerizing Cultural Night wherein many alumni and their family members participated actively and showcased their talent ranging from 77 year old Darshana Agarwal to 5 year old Prachi Sharma. Students of the Institute also gave dance performances. The alumni together performed and enjoyed the night. The event concluded with DJ Night, wherein almost all the alumni enjoyed with their family dancing all the way round. The event was a huge success and faded 2015 for another beautiful and glorious year - 2016.
