Turn your Alterna installation into a floating floor with the use of S-1841 Quiet Comfort™ Floating Underlayment. S-1841 allows you to install Alterna over various types of substrates including OSB, waferboard and particleboard. It lays over your substrate, allowing Alterna to be glued down on top.

Alterna® tiles are ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, laundry rooms and other high-moisture areas. Unlike ceramic tile, it can be installed over minor subfloor irregularities without the risk of cracking. And, it installs in about half the time of ceramic tile.
