New Features

Virtual Try-out

• Support for modeling of Pad entity that uses spring to apply the force during forming in the user process.

• Support for complete hot stamping setup including Blank transfer, tool closure,

forming and quenching in a single setup using user process

• Trimming panel updated to add node selection for identifying the area to remove/keep for 3D trimming

• Support of tube hydroforming process model setup in the User Process.

• Support of standard forming process: Single Action Draw, Single Action Draw with

Pad, Double Action Draw, Double Action Draw with Pad, and Triple Action Draw in the User Process.

• Support for more than one tooling for the gravity setup in the Auto Process.

• Spring back distance calculation has been updated to plot the distance value with signs based on relative position of the part after spring back.

• Entity Editor has been added in the Model Browser to edit solver keywords.

• New option available in HyperForm Settings to include or exclude strain, strain

history from gravity run in forming. Default is set as Exclude.

Die Concept

• New Die browser that tailors user in natural work flow to create die surface from the

part geometry.

• New Die browser has following additional options:

- Automatic hole recognition and identify the holes for future trimming operation

- Automatic hole filling

- Automatic and manual flange identification and remove flanges from the draw die design

- Contour options for

o Undercut negative draft in the part relative to draw direction

o Draw depth based on flat binder along the draw direction

o Draw depth based on created binder surface along the draw direction

- Part tipping updated to consider only the features formed in the part in the drawing stage.

- Allows you to create multiple stage draw dies.

• New option to develop trim line based on the flanges and the addendum.

• Binder creation and editing improved to handle binder by sections and part on binder.

• Binder edit options has been redesigned to allow users to update the binder through

sections with options of changing them in 2D and 3D plane and ability to cast them at other locations as needed.

• Part on Binder has been added as a new option to edit the binders created to match surface of the part.

• Prep Geom panel has been updated with new options to

- Fill side cutouts

- Remove the surface edge radius

- Identify holes and fill them

- Extend surface beyond the selected part boundary

Part Feasibility

• Automatic filling of holes in the part from the One Step browser.

• Blank nesting tool layouts are updated to support one-up, two-up and mirror layouts with options for each of them.

• Addendum definition added as part of the blank nesting to add additional material to flattened blank.

• Carrier option added to support nesting for progressive die use cases. Added carrier

options includes side carrier, central carrier, nested carrier, double side and central

carrier, double side and nested carrier, double side carrier.

Resolved Issues

Virtual Try-out

• Blank penetration into the tooling at the end of the gravity run.

• Trimming functionality has been improved to avoid small elements and degenerated elements in the trimmed edge to improve spring back.

• Element connectivity not exported after trimming in the STA file for solid element

trimming.

• Auto position and return home position are fixed to work for local system for both sheet and tube.

• Multistage manager provides warning message if there are spaces in the path rather

than an error during run.

• Material definition not carrying to all stages in the Multistage Manager.

• Draw bead creation improved to avoid skewed draw bead lines due to projection.

• Improve auto position speed to handle pin – sheet contact.

Die Concept

• Addendum modify panel updated to highlight the ribs for selection.

• Addendum generation updated in Addendum Modify panel updated to create continuous surface with no gaps.

Part Feasibility

• Warning message added if the material selected is not exported into the created

deck.
