hospitality industry is a broad category of fields within service industry that includes loading event planning theme park transportation cruise lines, and additional fields within the tourism industry. A hospitality unit such as a restaurant, hotel, or an amusement park consists of multiple groups such as facility maintenance and direct operations (servers, housekeepers, porters, kitchen workers, bartenders management, marketing, and human resources etc.).

The hospitality industry is much broader than most other industries. The hospitality industry is a multi-billion dollar industry that depends on the availability of leisure time and disposable income. While this industry is very broad, there are some defining aspects that are important to understand. The majority of business niches are composed of only a handful of different

businesses, but this industry applies to nearly any company that is focused on customer satisfaction and meeting leisurely needs rather than basic ones.

Hospitality is the way of treating people in the way you want yourself to be treated.Hotels are called "home away from home" because it's the only place where we get food & accommodation, provided all luxuries and comfort. The hospitality also increases profit and reputation of the hotel. it also provide handsome amount of revenue and give name and fame to the hotel. These days we can easily get hospitality in retail outlets hotels hospitals and offices and competition is so high that everyone wants to attract customer by one mean or other.

A small cafeteria or snack bar, especially one in a military establishment, school, or place of work. A temporary or mobile café used in an emergency or on a film location etc. A box with compartments for storing eating utensils, silverware etc. A military mess kit. The small hotels are not well known as the large hotels are. the large hotel are known by there name, service, and their brand and the small hotels are hidden but famous is small area so the large hotel dominate the small hotels.

The Company was incorporated in 1902 and it opened its first hotel, The Taj Mahal Palace by constructing an adjacent tower block and increasing the number of rooms from 225 to 565 rooms. With the completion of its initial public offering in the early 1970s, the Company began a long term programme of geographic expansion and development of new tourist destinations in India which led to its emergence as a leading hotel chain in India. From the 1970s to the present day, the Taj Group has played an important role in launching several of India's key tourist destinations, working in close association with the Indian Government. In 1974, the Taj Group opened India's first international five star deluxe beach resort, the Fort Aguada Beach Resort in Goa. The Taj Group also began its business in metropolitan hotels in the 1970s, opening the five-star deluxe hotel Taj Coromandel in Chennai in 1974, acquiring an equity interest and operating contract for the Taj President, a business hotel in Mumbai, in 1977, and opening the taj mahaj palace in Delhi in 1978.

In 1980, the Taj Group took its first step internationally by opening its first hotel outside India, the Taj Sheba Hotel in Sana'a, Yemen and in the late 1980s, acquired interests in the Crown Plaza - James Court, London and 51 Buckingham Gate Luxury Suites and Apartments in London.
