The letter “f ” and the letter “v”sound a lot l ike each other.

The d ifference is that you’rejust b lowing a ir when you makethe letter “f ” sound – “fffff . ” No sound from your throat , just a ir. Think of a fan b lowing a ir.

But when you make the letter“v” sound, you ARE makinga sound in your throat , sortof l ike the eng ine (motor) in a van .
