Let’s Eat! May 8-12
******************************************* IMPORTANT STAAR
TESTING NEWS!!!
We will be STAAR Testing on May 8-10th.
Due to state testing security and standards, only
trained personnel can be on campus these days.
Therefore, we cannot have visitors at Aloe for any
grade level.
Please do not plan to come eat lunch with your
children or visit the school these three days. If you
need to leave something for your child, we will
make sure that it gets to them.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
******************************************* Smoke Free and Cell Phone Free Zone
Parents, please remember that all public
schools are a SMOKE-FREE zone. It is illegal to
smoke on campus.
Also, please remember that cell phones are
not allowed in school zones either. Please
help us keep all of our little Aloe Gators safe.
Thank You!

A WORD about TEXTING!...SAFETY, SAFETY,
SAFETY!
Any child with a cell phone probably uses it to send and
receive text messages and images. It’s similar to using
email or instant messaging and most of the same eti-
quette and safety rules apply. If your child is texting,
remind them to:
Respect others. Texting shorthand can lead to mis-
understandings. Think about how a text message
might be read and understood before sending it.
Ignore text messages from people they don’t know
Learn how to block numbers from their cell phone
Avoid posting their cell phone number online
Never provide financial information in response to a
text message
