Allspice TapestryAllspice Tapestry“My studio is on the 2nd floor of our house... well, to tell you the truth, we built the 2nd floor of our house in order to have the studio! When we were building, we designed it to feel like it had always been there (our Tudor style house is about 100 years old).I will never for-get the looks on the flooring men’s faces when I asked them to paint brand new hardwood floors cream! Seeing all my swatches on those cream hardwood floors always brings a huge smile to my face. People come into the studio and say that they want to sink into the warmth and color of it all... I completely agree! The inspiration for this line, Allspice Tapestry, came from a more commonplace source... a vintage floral cinnamon brown fabric that we fell in love with a long time ago. The warm vintage-feeling palette of brown, aqua, pink, caramel and green was an ideal color group for an entire collection. We chose soft images and delicate patterns to compliment the florals. I think the result is charming, soft and elegant. I am picturing all sorts of wonderful vintage quilts made from this line... Join me in coming up with the endless possibilities.
