ServicesAsbestos SurveysTop quality, UKAS accredited asbestos surveys

are vital protection for tradesmen and the

public alike. All our surveys are compliant with

HSG 264 and are undertaken by qualified,

competent surveyors.

Asbestos ManagementCAR 2012 places a duty on those responsible

for maintenance or controlling access to

buildings built prior to the year 2000 to

manage asbestos. We can prepare your

management plan and keep you compliant.

Asbestos RemediationAsbestos removal is a specialist service and we

can arrange for the removal or repair of your

asbestos containing products. Our Project

Managers will ensure that the right contractor

is used and audit their works for your safety.

Asbestos TrainingAllium Environmental are a UKATA

approved training provider.

Sampling & Bulk AnalysisIt’s not always necessary to complete

a full survey to identify an asbestos

containing material, but it is only

through laboratory analysis that the

presence and type of asbestos can be

truly confirmed.

Lead Paint SamplingThe Control of Lead at Work

Regulations 2002 (CLAW) place a duty

on employers to prevent, or where this

is not reasonably practicable, to control

employee exposure to lead. We can

survey and test for the presence of lead

in paints.

Marine Services - IHMThe Inventory of Hazardous Materials is an essential tool for

ensuring that potentially dangerous materials on board

ship are kept in an environmentally-sound condition

throughout their lifespan. Allium is able to assist with

IHM surveys and record keeping using cloud-based

software for instant access to your data.

Our professional and bespoke reports identify any potential hazards and give clear,

A key part of HSE legislation is that a legionella management plan may have to be

put in place following a legionella risk assessment of your property. At Allium, we

Laboratory TestingSample analysis is usually undertaken using polarised

light microscopy by specially trained analysts. Legally,

sample analysis for asbestos must only be undertaken

by a laboratory UKAS accredited to ISO 17025, such as

our own. To ensure a wide coverage and availability of

analysts, Allium have also pre-qualified a selection of

UKAS AccreditedWe are proud to hold UKAS accreditation to both ISO/IEC 17020 for the surveying of asbestos in premises and ISO/IEC 17025 for testing asbestos in bulk materials; this ensures that Allium meets the exacting standards for Quality Assurance, Technical Competence and Site Safety required by legislation and clients alike.

UKAS stands for the United Kingdom Accreditation

Service. It is the only government recognised national

accreditation body in Britain. It has been designed to

evaluate the competence of all organisations that supply

services relating to certification, calibration, inspection

and testing.

This gives you ultimate peace of mind. The same

cannot be said for those without UKAS certification. It

is true that their prices may be lower in some instances,

but this is because they are not bound by the same

strict guidelines. Using a non-accredited consultant

is a massive risk, as the quality of product testing and
