As always, I would like to thank each and every one of you, and
your ladies, for your support and participation in the 26th District
Christmas Party at the Masonic Home. By all reports, the residents of
our home were thrilled with the entire event. Abbott and Costello"s
performance was a great addition to the festivities. I saw many of the
residents singing along and reliving their days gone by. Of course, the
visit by Santa always brings out the inner child in each of them. After
the event, hugs and kisses were plentiful. MW Karroum congratulated
the entire District on the party and the little extras. The homemade
cookies, provided by the Brothers and sisters were a real treat! On
behalf of our brothers and sisters, I want to say, "Thank You All"!
I'm looking forward to attending as many of the installations of the
2019 Lodge Officers as physically possible. I hope Scotty (of Star Trek
fame) can beam me from one event to another! Remember Brothers,
support each other in these installation festivities. Each of you have
worked very hard for many years to become an elected officer.
Lastly, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy
Hanukkah and Happy New Year! May God bless you all and keep you
safe.

Hello Brothers of District 26,
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas holiday season
celebrating with family and friends. As we progress towards the end of
the 2018 year I am looking forward to 2019 and beyond working
towards enhancing our wonderful fraternity. With the help of all our
brothers, I know we will continue to grow and nurture this grand
fraternity we love into the next several years and beyond. Towards that
end, if there is anything you think of which you believe will grow and
or enhance our fraternity, please let me know.
I look forward to the installation of your new line of officers at our
December meeting and am excited about the year ahead.
I hope to see many of you at the upcoming lodge installations as the
new line of officers are installed for 2019.
Again, 2019 looks to be an excellent year for Free Masonry and I
for one am thrilled to be a small part of our new growth!

Brothers,
I hope the December holidays were peaceful and everyone got to spend
some quality time with the family.
January should be a busy one with installations and I look forward to
attending as many as I can. We ALL should try to attend as many as we
can. And congratulations to all the incoming elected and appointed
officers.
In 2019 I encourage ALL the brothers of the 26th Masonic district to
attend as many of the charity fund raising events hosted by ALL Lodges
and lets collectively show the community what our great fraternity is all
about.
I also look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the district's
open books and school of instruction nights at Doric on the first
Wednesday and third Mondays of every month.
Lastly don't forget about closing out memorial lodge for 2018 (before
the 2019 officer installation ceremony) and re-opening it afterwards.

For the month of December, it was slow. The boys concentrated on mid-terms
and the school holiday.
For the month of January, the boys are finishing prep work for their ritual
competition at Mini-Conclave this month in Orlando. They will also assist with the
Installation of Officers for lodges: Doric, Coral Springs, and West Broward.
Let’s welcome our new Chapter Advisor, Worshipful Dad Gordon.
If you were like to request the boys to assist with serving dinner at your stated
meeting, picnic set-up, special events, participate at a charity, Installation, give a
DeMolay presentation, or showcase one of our DeMolay open ceremonies OR if

Message from the incoming Monarch Ed Vitoulis
Good Evening Fellow Prophets & Dear Guests,
It is with humility, honor and pleasure that I accept the role of being your chosen
Monarch for 2019.
The Grotto is an important and charitable fraternal organization. Through the
Grotto, we promote generosity and good fellowship. As Brothers we work together to make
a positive difference. Our goal is to bring children with challenges to a dental specialist best
suited for addressing the appropriate care for that child. These children are challenged by
either Cerebral Palsy or Muscular Dystrophy or a similar, crippling disease making dental
treatment a uniquely demanding task.
We raise funds to support their dentistry needs through a Humanitarian Foundation.
Past Monarch Jim Jackson Jr. is our Dr. Smiles, and shares an unwavering commitment to
ensuring that all our participating children receive the very best dental care
possible. Supporting him is our primary goal.
In addition, I have three goals for the coming year.
First, I want to increase our membership. We can do more if there are more of us
and I am challenging every member of this Grotto to talk about us and to encourage their
brothers to join us. It is in our best interest that we each try to bring in a new member.
Second, I want to increase the attendance at our meetings. We will do that by
inviting all Prophets to bring a brother to a meeting. I am encouraging every member to bring
a brother to every meeting so that they may know what it is that we do.
Third, I want to make our meetings more meaningful and enjoyable. To do this
I am asking for everyone’s help in finding guests and speakers that will motivate and excite
us to go out and do the work we need to do.
Thank you all for coming and I look forward to a year full of charity and
fellowship. I wish all of you a most joyful, healthy and safe holiday season.

Happy New Year from Hollywood 12!
We are looking forward to seeing so many of you at the various dinners we have
been invited to serve. Thank you to those incoming masters who have welcomed the
girls. We, too, would like to welcome you to our Installation on Jan 5th at 12:00 PM.
Nyekia will be stepping into the East for the first time as Worthy Advisor. Her
term is focused on friendships and happiness spread throughout our Masonic family
and beyond our Rainbow ties: Planting seeds of Happiness. How appropriate to her
theme; stepping into the West as the Worthy Associate Advisor is Nyekia’s dear
friend and Rainbow sister, Abigail. We look forward to being a part of the love and
happiness these two girls will share. This term we will also welcome a new pledge
and two new advisory board members. Please come and share in the joy of our
Installation.
Hollywood will be selling flowers for our annual Valentine’s Day Flower Sale.
Remember to buy your flowers from one of the girls when you see them at an
Installation. If we are not at your Installation, but you would still like to purchase a
flower for your loved ones, please contact one of the advisors. Our flowers are $15
each, delivered to the address you wish for us to send between Feb 12-14th. Choose
your favorite design and deliver a smile to your loved one’s door. Please make sure
you have your order in by February 4th to ensure supplies.
Not only will Hollywood be growing in happiness, we also need to be growing in
number. We will lose two girls this term to majority age this year and another two
girls will majority next year. This is an important year to grow! We need to have our
seasoned Rainbow Girls around to train the incoming girls. This is the best way to
pass on the lessons learned in Rainbow. What better way to utilize peer
relationships! If you know of a young lady who may benefit from the happiness our
