AMAZING! Before I started at Alliance française, I had shopped around and tried other language schools in Nice. This is - by a mile - the best French school in Nice. The facilities and resources are simply unparalleled. The school administration staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Unlike with other schools, I never felt like I was just a dollar sign, but that the staff truly cared about my progress in French.
The quality of the teaching staff and the teaching method are of the highest standard. Classes are never dry! The various school activities don’t only facilitate language practice and cultural understanding, but also help evoke a sense of friendship and community for those of us far away from home. Every level is equivalent to 4 weeks of intensive courses (20h/week). The rate is € 840 (€ 10.50/h).
After your 12 first weeks, you’ll enjoy a 10% discount on any course taught in AF de Nice, ie. 4 extra weeks of intensive French would then cost €756 (€9.45/h).

The resource centre is a service especially designed to guide students, no matter what their proficiency level might be, in their learning of French. Every material is classified based on the CECRL* framework of reference (from A1 to C1).

Terms of sale ________________________________________________________________
These general terms of sale define the obligations between the Alliance Française de Nice and each of its students. When specifics pertaining to the situation of the student require special conditions of sale may be added to the present general conditions. In case of conflict, specific provisions outweigh the general conditions.
1 - ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Classes are open to the students of legal age. Sixteen- year-old minors may be accepted with parental consent.
2 - FINANCIAL TERMS Course attendance to classes offered by the Alliance Française requires the payment of the following fees: a. The annual registration fee: €50. b. Tuition fees described in the promotional material
(brochures, website); they must be paid before the courses start.
c. Monthly rates apply to a four-week session. d. Legal holiday periods (public holidays) do not
entitle to reduced prices or catch-up sessions (the programme takes into account this constraint). This section 2.d. does not apply to private lessons.
e. Without prejudice to the provisions of article 4, once a course has begun, it is due for the duration selected by the student at the time of registration.
f. In accordance with the requirements of the Prefecture regarding the issuance of a residence permit, students holding a long-stay student visa in France must pay the full tuition for the first eight weeks of the course, for 20 hours per week.
3 - REGISTRATION PROCEDURES a. Registration to one of our courses implies the
acceptance of these general conditions of sale. The Nice district court is competent for any dispute arising from the application of these rules.
b. The application for registration (online form or paper registration form) must be received by the Alliance Française de Nice six weeks before the student's arrival if he/she requires accommodation, or two weeks before the start of the course.
c. The student shall report to the Alliance Française thirty minutes before the start of his first class in order to complete the registration procedure and take a placement test. He/She must be in possession of a proof of identity and a passport size photograph (paper or digital).
4 - CANCELLATION, WITHDRAWAL & MODIFICATION a. Each student has a period of seven days to
exercise his/her right to withdraw without incurring penalties; the decision does not have to be justified. The Alliance Française shall reimburse all sums paid.
b. In case of cancellation due to a visa refusal, tuition fees are fully reimbursed.
c. Once the courses have started, a student who might miss classes due to serious illness or medically justified incapacity shall be entitled to the postponement of his courses or the refund of registration fees in proportion to the courses he/ she did not attend.
d. Once courses have started, any cancellation on the part of the student (excluding article 4.c) shall not give right to any refund.
e. A student who missed courses on its own initiative is not entitled to a postponement or refund.
f. The cancellation of host family accommodation or in student residence housing will be charged €50 if notice is given 15 days before the first night; €150 shall be charged if cancellation fails to comply with this notice.
g. Any stay started is due.
5 - INSURANCE Each student must be insured against the risks of illness and accident, as well as covered by a civil liability insurance. These insurances are the responsibility of the student.
6 - IMAGE RIGHTS Unless otherwise requested in writing by the student, the Alliance Française de Nice is allowed to use photos and images from its users in its communication tools and promotional material.
7 - DATA PROTECTION & FREEDOM In accordance with the Data Protection Act n° 78-17 of 06 January 1978, the collection of personal data is subject to a declaration with the CNIL (1633376). Each student has a right to access and correct his personal information.
8 - EXCLUSION Students are subject to the rules of procedure of the Alliance Française de Nice.
Registration to any of our courses implies the acceptance of these terms of sale.
