• Inside NJ Magazine’s annual Top Performing Public High Schools ranking added a new tracking category to the mix this year – arts education. This makes NJ the only state in the country to track student participation in the arts.

• This year’s formula relied on three factors: combined SAT scores, a composite High School Proficiency Assessment score and a combined arts participation score. Schools were divided into three tiers.

• We are proud to report that Allentown High School scored in the top tier of high schools on these three categories!

CourtesySubscriptionBusingIn accordance with New Jersey statute N.J.A.C. 18A:39‐1, school districts are mandated to provide transportation to elementary students living more than two miles from school and high school students living more than two and a half miles from school. Students living less than the required mileage are deemed ineligible for Transportation based on the state parameters. To assist parents who are interested in parent‐paid transportation, the Upper Freehold Regional School District will continue to offer fee based Courtesy Subscription Busing in the 2014‐2015 school‐year.  Seats on buses will be assigned on a first come first served basis as there may be a  limited number of seats available on individual routes.

• 90% of AHS students continue their education after high school

• Over 340 new chrome books have been purchased to help prepare students for the PARCC exam

• 80% of the graduates took the SAT and the mean scores were:  CR 526,         M 554, and W 514

• 360 scores were reported in 2014 for the AP Test;  84% scored 3 or higher

• Approved AP courses in Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, European History, Government, Language and Composition, Literature, Macro Economics, Psychology, Spanish, Statistics, Environmental Science, Studio Art and US History 

• In 2014, AHS had 96 students score a 5 on an AP exam compared to 63 students scoring a 5 in 2013

•7 Colonial Valley Conference Division Championships•7 Mercer County Tournament appearances including 2 Finalists and 2 Semi‐Finalists•15 NJSIAA State Playoff qualifiers•A Sectional State Championship in Field Hockey•A Group III State Championship in Boy’s Soccer

Our AHS Cheerleading Team was very successful this past year.  Team achievements include:•1st Place:  Burlington Cheer Competition•1st Place:  CVC Cheer Competition•1st Place:  Lacey Township Holiday Cheer Invitational•1st Place:  Garden State Competition•1st Place:  UCA Regional Qualifier – this also earned the team their 2nd BID to the National HS Cheerleading Championship in Disney World!

Our athletes were very competitive and successful last year.  Some highlights include:

•18 athletes qualified for the State Championships in Track and Field and Cross Country•4 of those athletes advanced to the Meet of Champions•6 of our wrestlers made it out of the District Tournament to compete at the Regions•33 NEW school records were set over the course of the school year
