Back by Popular Demand!One part stand-up, one part chanteuse, downtown diva Sharron Matthews celebrates the holiday season with her irreverent musical comedy cabaret. Combining her powerful voice with her signature comedic wit, Sharron creates holiday-themed pop medleys, sing-a-longs and song-a-logues that will have the audience roaring with laughter and crooning along. No stranger to stage and screen, Sharron has played lead roles in Les Misérables, Beauty & the Beast, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and the Wizard of Oz; was one of the stars on Global’s hit TV show “Canada Sings”; was featured in films such as Mean Girls and Hairspray: The Movie; and closer to home, was the first performer of the very first season at the St. Francis Centre. The “Nearly World Famous” DuffleBag Theatre returns to the St. Francis Centre for another hilarious and fun-filled show – and what better way to teach the spirit of giving and joys of the season than “A Christmas Carol”. This hilarious rendition of Charles Dickens’ classic tale is brought to life with the help of audience members who spontaneously participate, playing the main parts. Hysterically funny and unpredictably interactive, this show is not to be missed. Children also have the opportunity to visit with Santa after the show.

It’s Christmas Eve in a war time New England town. Faced with a life of dreams deferred, George Bailey sets out to throw himself from a bridge – until a dotty angel-in-waiting shows him what might have been. A beloved holiday classic brought to captivating life as a live 1940’s radio broadcast.

From one of Canada’s most popular playwrights comes this hilarious comedy. Val, Andy, Nina and Matt are middle-aged, single and looking. Val agrees to meet Andy after answering his personal ad in the newspaper and Nina and Matt are coaxed into joining their friends for support. What follows is hilarious, touching and so very true life.

Ten guilty strangers are trapped on an island. One by one they are accused of murder; one by one they start to die. Eight guests who have never met each other or their apparently absent host and hostess are lured to the island and, along with the two house servants, marooned. A mysterious voice accuses each of having gotten away with murder and then one drops dead – poisoned. One down and nine to go!
