All students who wish to apply for direct admission to SJSU must
submit an online application through
"CSUMentor.edu"
To learn how to fill out the application,
follow the instructions on these slides.
Step 1First you must create an account.Click on: "Create an Account" at the top of the page.Enter: a "user name" and "password.“
Continue: to fill in all of the required information and then “Log In” to your account

Click on: "International Online Application."
Step 3 Click on: the box that contains "Fall 2014"
Step 4Choose: "San Jose State University International" Click on: "start new application"
Step 5Read: ALL of the informationGo to: the bottom of the page Click on: "Begin Application for San Jose State University"
Page 1 – Name and AddressChoose: "Fall 2014" as the term you are applying forChoose: “Seeking Bachelor’s degree First-time Freshman
Page 1 – Name and AddressEnter: your current address in California
Page 1 – Name and AddressEnter: your contact information
The Admissions Office will send you important messages by e-mail. If you change your mail address you must notify the Admissions Office as soon as possible.
Page 2 – Personal InformationEnter: your “SEVIS” number
Continue to enter your personal information, including your address in your home country.
Page 3 – Demographic InformationChoose: the response that best describes you
Page 4 – Enrollment InformationChoose: the major that you would like to study be sure to enter an alternate major in case your first choice is not available
Page 4 – Enrollment InformationIndicate: whether or not you have applied to SJSU before
If you have applied to SJSU before be sure to enter your SJSU ID number
Page 5 – High School InformationClick on: “Add a High School” Enter: all of the required information
Then enter your GPA (Grade Point Average) and the name of your diploma or graduation certificate
Page 8 – Test InformationEnter: all of the required information
If you have not taken the TOEFL or other English test, do not enter any information just continue to the next page
Page 11 – Financial InformationClick on: “Affidavit of Financial Support”Print: the form and enter all of the required information
Take or send the completed form, your Bank Letter indicating minimum funds of $29,776 and copy of your passport to the Admissions Office
Page 12 – Review Your ApplicationRead: “your application carefully to make sure ALL of the information is correct. If it is not correct, go back to the appropriate page and change it
After you have checked all of the information and you are sure that all of the information is correctClick on: “Send”
Then pay the $55.00 application fee with your credit card.
